We had not realised how cold Ooty could be in March, and it was colder in the hotel than outside. We had ro request an extra blanket. The rooms, with barred windows, were spartan, painted in a sort of asylum pale grey. The mattress was more suited to a yogi accustomed to a nail bed than to hotel guests. Having... More

Poor hygiene, broken door handles and small size rooms. I booked this room for my cousins and they were not at all happy with the stay here. When asked for a better room at extra cost the staff says all the rooms are in same condition.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and it was one of the cheapest during our stay in India at 900/- per night for a double room. The room was adequate although we had to clean the bathroom ourselves as it was producing a faint smell of urine. It would have been nice if more blankets were easily available... More

The stay was pretty good. Except that the rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis. One has to inform the Reception to get some one clean the room. The staff were well behaved . It would be good if the Hotel provide Tea or Coffee by at least 7 am in the morning.

I booked both standard and deluxe rooms in this hotel. To my surprise i saw that there is no difference between both except one is relatively newly constructed.(same size , same furniture etc) I booked room in this hotel after reading a review that this hotel is spic and span. But to the contrary i found it be quite dirty.... More

Hills palace is located in the middle of the commercial pat of Ooty. the room was the largest and very good value. Beer is served at the downstairs 2restaurant" which looks unattractive af night but fine during daylight. \breakfast was inexpensive, but like most fo the hotel, service wasn't urgent. The place however is spotlessly clean.
