I am extremely happy with the hospitality provided by the Hotel during my 3 day stay. There is scope for improvement in hotel staff which is a minor one. Food was excellent and was customized to our need..Now the not so good part of the trip...Unfortunately before a day of my travel, incidentally i came to know the bookings at... More

We stopped here for lunch and were hugely disappointed. It is an amazing building with great features - it clearly has an interesting history. Unfortunately those are my only positive comments. As in many places throughout India, there were many staff; sadly they were at best, weak. It took ages to get served, despite there only being one other small... More

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel in Ooty. It is a unique property - as in that it was previously a functional palace owned by the Mysore Maharajah. A lot of the interior decor has been preserved exactly to give an old palace feel. A lot of old antique furniture and art can be found everywhere. Definitely gives one a... More

This is a amazing property and staying here is an experience to remember. But few things you should be aware of : 1. Hot water is a problem even after keep opening tap for 10 minutes only lukewarm water will come.( though hotel has mentioned not to waste water , but they are the only one suggest to keep tap... We went there in January for two days for our honeymoon. its a Mysore raja's summer palace as the weather there is very pleasant through out the year. They have displayed all the historical pictures attached to the palace dere giving a royal feel. we stayed in one of the suits with all Royal and Modern amenities. our suit has... More

We stopped here for lunch. This is a beautiful place which was the Maharaja's summer palace. The food was lovely, though I think the staff may have been in training as they seemed a bit overwhelmed with a large group. There is no alcohol available. I recommend a look around the place if you do visit as it had some... More

We loved it here. The building oozes history and glamour, and the old photographs and paintings that line the walls were fascinating. I think the place must have been renovated since some of these reviews because we thought it looked great. Our room was lovely and we had a nice heater. Plenty of hot water, and excellent and polite service.... More

We stayed here on Boxing Day evening and it was, by far, the worst hotel by far on a long trip to South India, covering seventeen different places. All the guests wore wooly, rather than party, hats; we had to beg for a heater that worked a little bit, rather than not at all (no heating despite central heating radiators... More

This could be a beautiful heritage hotel but isn't. It certainly has plenty of history but unfortunately is in a poor condition and badly managed. The rooms are full of charm but uncomfortable. For example the curtains do not fit the windows. The bathroom is antiquated with poor plumbing and hot water is hard to come by. Wifi is available... More
