They claim this is some kind of heritage hotel. I guess they misunderstood the meaning of heritage.. Rooms are pathetic for the amount you pay (700 for double room). Staff in the reception desk are rude, they see you as if you are cheating them where the reality is it happens the other way. It was a good and nice... More

Even though it is nowhere near a holiday or even staying grade hotel for me, I will keep going here for the following reasons- walking distance from the station, walking distance from the Meenakshi temple, very cheap for a two-hour kind of stay to bathe and check out. I would never stay here if I had to spend more than... More

If you want a fancy, AC, knife and fork meal then College House isn't for you, but if you want a fantastic, fast, delicious taste of Tamil Nadu in fuss free surroundings, then definitely drop by here if you're in Madurai. Yes, it is basic in terms of amenities, but the food really is ace, as is the coffee -... More

I was at this hotel this October (2012) with my parents. I chose this hotel as it was close to Railway station and Meenakshi temple. Later I repented my choise. The rent is fairly high. 1200 per room. Restaurant is horrible. The rooms are not neat. The bed looked like "rape" scene. There were stains all over the place. The... More

I used to stay in this hotel since the last 15 years as preferably I like the location of the hotel. It is situated in the heart of Madurai city, very near to the world famous Meenakshi Temple and Madurai Junction Rly. Stn. Hotel building is very old one, not very neat, but only that much priced when compared to... More

Rooms are terrible with bed bugs and mosquito. Beds are stained. No plug point worked and also no night lamp. I could not sleep and i am writing this review sitting on this hotel room at 3 am. Only advantage with this hotel is location. Situated in center of the city. I won't recommend this to anyone.

Sorry, the hotel room environment and hospitality is very poor. No cleaning and very dirty cloths even there is no other basic cleaning is being done. Management should focus on room quality and ensure the same by supervisor for improvement. As per my view the present condition is no good for staying.

Have been to the restaurant many times (where were you tripadvisor all these days! Grr!) and it is the worst when it comes to food, cleanliness, staff or any other basic criteria you apply! The staff look so untidy I lost my appetite immediately. And the south indian meals which other reviewers seemed to enjoy was IMHO subpar to most... More
