love the location of the cottage. beautiful ambience. great exotic food. clean and spacious rooms. great place for a vacation with family and friends. very friendly and helpful staff and great parking space. loved the nice rooftop lounge overlooking the surrounding. Given the shortage of decent accommodation in Coonoor, this is a very reasonable option.

I stayed at Kumar's Mountain View Cottage for a few nights in July. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building itself could do with a minor renovation but was still decent. If you are looking for somewhere to sleep for a few nights without any extra requirements than this is definitely the place to go.

We stayed there a couple of nights in July -- rooms were pretty basic and generally clean, bathrooms very basic but with hot water etc. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the food was simple but really tasty. Kumar's Cottage offer nice homelike stay in a very good location. The rooms and bathrooms are really clean (especially comparing to other such places in India!). The hosts -appealingly helpful and the food - yummy! It really makes you feel at home! (perfect place for families, friends and couples!)

Kumar's Mountain View Cottage is very nice and clean. The staff and owners are really nice and helpful. It has a great view from the terrace and great atmosphere if you want to relax in the mountains of Tamil Nadu and enjoy fresh air, tea plantations and the local flora of the Nilgiris.
