Had our honeymoon in Jan'15 & stayed at 180 Mciver in upper coonoor. Very good atmosphere with a beautiful valley view in front. Thanks to Suresh & Anita. Both are very friendly helpful. Read various negative reviews on the adjacent restaurant ran by some other management. Fortunately, it had been taken over by a new group on & from the... More

I, along with my friends, had planned a roadtrip to Coonoor and decided to stay at this beautiful place. Since we were going to be late, we called up the hotel and spoke to Mr. Suresh who not only helped us with the booking, but also arranged dinner for us even after the restaurant was closed. That in-itself speaks a... More

review is a bit late but the memories of the stay are still fresh. Good food. Nice rooms with high ceiling, morning light through the ceiling rafts (called roshandan). The best part is the well maintained lawn. To have tea, walk around or just laze in the sun. Must visit

As a budget traveller I was very much looking forward to staying in this hotel and splashing out. However it was a catalogue of nightmares! The positive side to the hotel is that it is a beautiful building in a stunning location with 180 degree views (hence the name) over the valley into Coonoor. The building has some stunning and... Stayed here with family for 3 night and 4 days. The place has around 6 rooms and is basically an old colonial style bunglaw. The views from outside the room are splendid and the place has a fantastic garden which is well maintained with lovely flowers. There is ample space for parking and that is not a concern at all,... We stayed at McIver and Richmond, a sister cottage in Upper Coonoor. Both have a genuine hill-station bungalow feel. McIver is the flagship bungalow in the group -- a large house with an extensive lawn and a sweeping view. Richmond is more basic. Neither is luxurious, but that is not what I was looking for. Both are very good value... More

One of most beautiful hotel I stayed.115 years old colonial style villa is beautiful but the surrounding and lovely weather of Coonoor made the overall experience great. Very impressive interiors, well maintained rooms, antique furniture, garden. 180 degree view of Coonoor town can be seen from this place. Hotel has one restaurant La Belle Vie. At lunch we had Indian... More

Mclver Villa is situated at one of the most picturesque locations in Coonoor. There are six rooms in total. A well maintained garden, overlooking the Coonoor valley is a very soothing experience. The rooms are big enough for two people. We were three people, so we comfortably shared the room with the provision of an extra bed. It's a great... More

We had an outstanding meal at Mciver 180.... We had gone for lunch during our visit to Coonoor. They placed a table for us in the middle of the lawns. It was a breath taking experience. We went back to them for lunch the next day. The apple pie is to die for. Sudhir is a great host. Must visit... More
