The Coonoor Club is a small pleasant inexpensive retreat with attentive service and large spacious rooms. Evenings are lively with members having card games or socialising in the lounge bar. Expect well informed conversation. The food is routine

It is an old establishment with old style, good for fellowship and meeting localities . Members are friendly and welcoming, one have to break ice and talk to them, okay rooms laid back service. But Different experience from hotel.

We visited the club for a private party. The club has the old world charm and has a long history to boast of. The club is serene off the din of the town with ample parking. It has quiet card rooms and snooker tables. The restaurant serves decent food and the bar is well stocked. We had a nice time... More

We had lunch at the club, which has a good ambience on the out side. Great location with ample parking. Food was very average and grossly short of waiters as there was just one person who was managing the orders, and serving. Not at all up to the old standard of club food.

I visited Coonoor Club after 20 years and the place had the same flavour. The advantage of being a member (my dad) helps. The rooms have been beautifully renovated. There are only six though. The service is top-notch, you get what you want. The food alone did not suit me, but overall it was a fantastic experience

The toy train from Ooty meandered through leafy forests of eucalyptus and pine trees punctuated with gurgling streams, sashayed down the sunlit valleys carpeted by lush green tea gardens of varying hues and stopped intermittently at forlorn stations, Lovedale, Ketti, Aravankadu and Wellington. The train finally disgorged the merry making crowd on a joy ride for the day-long trip to... More

Very club like, but it seems to be the only one which is relaxed as compared to the other uppity clubs in the Nilgiris and baby friendly. the rooms are comfortable and toilets clean. there is also an ante room for an additional bed if required. Though the rooms could do with some maintenance. Many switches and lights were not... More

The Coonoor Club is right in the heart of town, within walking distance from Sim's park. It is in a large colonial bungalow with well maintained grounds, a small library, good food. The rooms are large and clean, there is no air conditioning but we didn't require any. We went as a group of 7 families which ensured that we... More

I stayed here for two nights as a members guest and although I thought it would be awful it was ok. Bathroom was clean as was the room although there was a smell of damp or something in the room. There is an extensive menu in the club and the food is normally quite good. You can go and play... More
