My husband and i were craving for a weekend getaway. We reserached a lot and tumbled upon Devashola Estates by chance and as luck would have it, it had the best reviews out of all the homestay's we had been looking at. The highlight of this place is that it provides you with that tranquility that we all so badly... More

A balcony with a white wooden railing overlooking the valley; slanting orange sun rays shimmering over your tea, and myriad birds, singing. Hidden in the north-western corner of Tamil Nadu, Devashola Estate is a perfect retreat. There aren't any bellhops to fuss over you, no packages to sign up for, no choices to make. The estate is a sprawling 650... More

We spent 3 weeks travelling in Southern India, and our 4 nights at Devshola, up in the Nilgiri mountains, were the highlight. Taking the the Nilgiri Express at dawn from Coimbatore up to Coonoor, then a tuk tuk ride through the hills and plantations to Devshola, was life-affirmingly awesome. Devshola was one of the most tranquil and spectacular places we've... More

We stayed in Palaniappa cottage for 4 nights and experienced a comfort and pleasant stay. Cottage is located in middle of tea estate and far away from the hustle and bustle of Ooty. Our caretaker Mr.Murugan feasted with good food adding flavour to our stay. If you prefer having a break out of our day to day busy schedule, we... More
