The shear location of this place makes it interesting because the travel either from Ooty or Coonoor is very picturesque with lots of tea gardens & amazing views.... We stayed in Bison valley row cottage, & the property is just ok... The room size is very small with just two single beds inside. The quality of the room can also... More

It was just awesome. Snuggled in breath-taking greenery, this place gives everything that a nature lover would expect. Mesmerizing morning views would leave you just awe-struck!! I wonder how would it feel to be at this place during the rains.

We had been to Mango Tree, Devashola 5 years ago. The serenity of the property remains as is, which is good. The quality of food had come down from what we had then. Otherwise, if you are looking for off beat, colonial style tea bungalows, I would recommend this place - Lakshminarayanan

Tempting to visit once again. Pros: Location it is like heaven. Food quality. Service. Cons: 1 hr from coonoor town. But I do not want to consider this as cons. Since I already know and well prepared about this distant location.

My wife and I spent a couple of days here in early July. Everything about the trip was good. The property is far from any town and ambient noise. Mostly it is just the people at the bungalow that are around. It is set right in the midst of tea gardens and a patch of shola is not too far... More

We wanted a vacation that was peaceful in a serene place. The palaniappa estate was recommended by a friend and it fit the bill perfectly. We (Self, wife and kid) stayed at the Sultana bungalow since Mango Tree was not available. The view from Sultana was breathtaking with the cloud movement changing the view of the hills every few hours.... More

Nice view, we stayed at Palaniappa Bungalow, two families of us who travelled together, a wonderful and an old building, you cannot expect royalty but definitely all the required basic amenities were met, hardly signals would be caught on your mobile phones. Very good food prepared by the caretakers, Guided trek, the jeep travel inside the estate was really a... More

Enjoy Nilgiris at Mango Tree Bungalow - amazing experience. Far away form modern civilization. Perfect place to restructure yourself. Mobile connectivity is very poor - so nobody will be able to disturb you. Hospitality of the caretaker is excellent. The Caretaker only prepares fresh -good foods/meals. Only problem is - they will serve you South Indian Veg Foods only..

17 people of our family stayed in the Bison Valley row rooms. If you have a large family and do not want to do anything but relax in the lap of nature then this is a perfect place for you. The food served here is excellent, ONLY VEG Food is served here. Ensure that you try out the mint chutney... More

My husband and i were craving for a weekend getaway. We reserached a lot and tumbled upon Devashola Estates by chance and as luck would have it, it had the best reviews out of all the homestay's we had been looking at. The highlight of this place is that it provides you with that tranquility that we all so badly... More
