While this is neither the best hotel in Udaipur nor the oldest, Uday Kothi wins marks for character, and for achieving a great balance of quirk and comfort. It's in the heart of the old city, perfect for walking to almost all the main attractions. Getting there is a fun little adventure of its own, through narrow winding streets and... More

It welcomes us with a lovely colonial ambience but to our disappointment the service is so poor with lazy staff Will definitely not recommend it futher It only caters to the foreigners n not worth the money at all The breakfast is also so so!! We should have considered booking another hotel like city place hotel

The hotel is almost perfect! Great location, staff, room, view, etc!!! I would definitely come back! I do have a few critics, that really need improvement: First and more importantly, the wifi connection. The system is just terrible! You have to login every time you put the phone down! Just terrible! The speed connection is also very very bad! This... More

The hotel is nice and the staffs are also nice. Breakfast is mediocre and mostly vegetarian. Rooms are big but there is no fridge or safe. Shower is poorly designed. Water splashes out of shower area onto toilet floors wetting area of entrance to toilet. Bathtub is present but cannot be utilized as the taps had been removed. Shower and... More

This hotel, while still lovely and in a great location, has grown too much. It no longer has the good service, welcoming staff (they seem seriously overworked) or interested ownership we enjoyed 10 years ago.

This hotel is one of a kind. I would say it is very enchanting. The decor is very pretty, the garden is just lovely. In the morning some cheeky monkeys, and the housedog is just funny! Very nicely located with a great restaurants nearby. There is a walking bridge 5 minutes away to get to the other side of town... More

Once you enter the hotel you feel like in a palace ... The garden looks beautiful and top floor pool is a great feel. However the approach to hotel is very poor as most hotels nearby Lake Pichhola. The rooms size is also small. Breakfast was really good.

Entered this hotel from the most narrow roads of Udaipur. Was a bit sceptical till I entered the property. The rooms on the ground floor were like old palaces. The rooms were small in size & the bathroom were huge with stone tubs. The rooms could have been a bit more spacious. Stayed here for 3 nights & we shifted... More

Hotel very well located in the heart of Old Udaipur. Pleasant staff and owners. Very caring and attention to details. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Marble is everywhere in the room with nice architectural details. Roof top restaurant with great menu, extensive bar choices and very nice pool. Very inexpensive for what you get in return.

Stayed here on a 2 day trip to Udaipur in Jan'16. The place looks like a heritage residence, converted into a boutique hotel. It's an amazing property, beautifully maintained, situated at prime tourist location along Lake Pichola, and offers great views of the lake. City Palace is just 10 minutes walk away. Hotel staff is very helpful and courteous. The... More
