Where to start.... It can be tricky to find, but is worth all the effort. The staff are excellent, friendly and professional. The rooms are lovely, not necessarily luxurious but comfortable and clean with attractive seating areas, clean white linen and towels. Plenty of hot water too. Wifi superb and free. The restaurant is very good as well and the... More

Me and my girlfriend were up for a fancy weekend trip to Udaipur and as such were debating whether to book the Oberoi or Taj. A friend of mine suggested this place with the argument that it has amazing view over the and is perfectly located in the city center. I am a usually a bit skeptical about such more... More

This hotel is a real treasure. There are a large range of rooms from lakeside views to more budget style which are great value. Management are friendly and helpful as are the staff. The real treat is the food, drink and views from the rooftop restaurant. If you can't afford to stay at the Lake Palace Hotel in the middle... More

Interesting lake view palace...definitely not 5 star but comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful...and we were there out of season, so guests were few. The only negative to this was that a number of menu items were unavailable - but probably best to order Indian anyway. Who really wants to eat 'continental' when the Indian food is so delicious...but... More

Booked a room with a lake view which is what we got but it was down some stairs, dark, damp and very gloomy. Upgraded to a suite which was very good. The original room was terrible. The food is average. The view from the rooftop restaurant is spectacular. Many of the rooms are cell like with no decent outside light.... More

The location is unrivalled, situated as it is on the baks of the lake. Stunning views from the rooftop restaurant - can't think of a better place to eat a delicious meal while watching the sunset over the nearby mountains. The rooms are quaintly old fashioned but strangely endearing. The A/C is effective though a little noisy. The restaurant staff... More

The hotel lobby and surroundings are decorated with traditional decor. We were hoping to get a room with a view of Lake Pichola, but the hotel was booked and we ended up staying at a Standard Room and Heritage Room. The Heritage Room is definitely nicer and bigger, and both look out into the courtyard. The best part of the... More

Jagat Niwas Palace as the name suggests is a historical palace in the heart of Udaipur. The stay in the hotel was extremely comfortable and safe. A female can comfortably stay there all alone. The palace is well- maintained, well-lit and beautifully decorated. The rooms are huge (palace-like.) The service provided in the hotel is excellent. The palace faces the... More

Room with the lake view are impressive but much more expensive then rooms without lake view (two or three times..). If you dont plan to spend much time in room, use that cheeper rooms and go to the restaurant on the rooftop instead, where the view is as good as it gets. You dont need to go anywhere else, you...
