We decided to visit on route from Bundi to Udaipur. It was 8pm and all was dark as there was a wedding in the village and they had invited all the guests from the hotel. You could see that staying in this remote village about 50 mins from Udaipur meant you were seeing the realindia and completely emerged in village... More

Before writing this review I decided to see the other reviews based on this hotel. I agree that Nithin the hotel manager and the staff is what makes the stay here a very pleasant experience,  Nithin is a great ambassador for the hotel and the surrounding village. The village is very rural and you get a real sense that you... More

A great experience thanks to an awesome manager there called Nitin. As soon as I arrived after a very long few days in hospital after being bitten by a dog, Nitin and his staff welcomed me and provided me dinner on the top level of the outdoor courtyard. The food was cooked by Nitin's wife and was very tasty. I... More

My two friends and I were booked to stay at 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel for one night on 15 th September 2014, as we loved the movie and thought it would be a fun way to spend the last night all together! Unfortunately due to renovations not being finished our stay was cancelled a few days beforehand.. We were... More

This is a must do if you want to experience the real India. The hotel is actually the local chieftains house that used to include stables. I stayed here with 3 other female friends overnight. We were greeted by the manager who is a quiet young man trying to bring the hotel to standard but maintain its character. It is... More

I am currently at the Hotel, stayed 1 night as I am a India specialist tour operator based in London, UK. The hotel needs a lot of work done to bring it up to the standard I would normally like for my clients but if you are a hardened traveler you will find this OK. I have been told that... More

Staying here was the highlight of my trip to India. A hotel in a village in the middle of nowhere, bliss. First off a little info - this is a heritage hotel in the middle of a very dusty village in a very dusty region. Its is not dirty, or filthy it is dusty and there is a difference. The... More

We visited the Ravla today as we were invited for dinner there tomorrow evening we wanted to see where it was and how to get there . It takes forever to find a long way from Udaipur down little twisted roads , when we got there we couldn't believe how filthy the place is headless to say we are not... More

I love this hotel and have stayed there four times now. I was first inspired by the movie 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' to stay there and found it quite a fantastic and surreal experience after loving the movie. The hotel is more functioning than in the movie but there is no extra glamour, which is part of the charm.... More

I travelled to Ravla Khempur for a day trip with a friend whilst staying in Udaipur. When we arrived we were greeted by Nitin, the hotel manager. He was extremely welcoming and spent his entire day showing us around, chatting with us and taking us for a serene walk through the village. Whilst we did not stay in the hotel... More
