The room was very spacious and had plenty of windows to let in natural light. We were on the first floor which was a little noisy so you should request to stay on the higher floors if you are looking for some peace and quiet. The hot water never really worked for us, even during the time that it was... More

Kesar Palace was not originally where we planned to stay but we are so glad we did! After a mix up at the udai haveli (highly reviewed and recommended by lonely planet and rough guide) we decided to look at the Kesar as recommended by Sajid who'd collected us in his tuk tuk from the bus. It is a lot... More

We arrived in Udaipur with a hostel booked for the night and got a lift into Udaipur city with Sadjid, the joint owner of Kesar Palace. He told us about his hotel and restaurant on the journey to the city. We decided to move hostels after seeing the rooms at Kesar Palace. The rooms were clean, had everything that's needed... More

We were a group of 5 families - 15 people. Ladies and Gentlemen, Kesar Palace is hands down one of the best budget properties in Mount Abu. It's centrally located and has a beautiful theme. Right from the entrance to the hotel room, you'll be blown by the beauty of this place. There are two categories - rooms in A... More

We had originally booked a hostel already, but were convinced by the tuktuk driver to just check this out. And I am happy we did! The rooms were cheap, spacey, very clean, had hot water and the WiFi worked flawlessly. The view from the roof top restaurant was incredible and it was right in the city center with the City... We stayed at this hotel six years ago when it first opened. We were afraid it would be run down (as is often the case in India) by now. The top floor room( 6 flights up steep stairs) is paradise. A real bargain for the money ($17) with painted ceiling and walls, a panoramic view on two sides of Lake... More

Our bus arrived in Udaipur at 5am, it was cold. We called the hotel and they said that the room we booked would only be free at 10am, and that we would have to wait on the rooftop restaurant until then. We hesitated, we wanted an upgrade, they offered an upgrade to a better room. We took it. We had... More

We were pleasantly surprised by how lovely our room was - it was clean, spacious, well lighted, modern, and beautifully decorated. This was the nicest guesthouse we stayed in during our India trip and one of the cheapest. Don't be fooled by the basic entrance and lobby - all the rooms here are nice and the pricier ones have great... More

Great room Centrally located for easy access to Palace etc. It's hard to escape the noise in India, dogs barking at 3 am. Not the hotels fault though. Nice staff, very helpful. Showers not so hot at night, but good in the morning. Quoted me a higher price than online, so best to book on line or Bargin with them.... More
