For Rs. 150 per night including breakfast, I can't really complain, but a guesthouse should be about more than making money and I felt like a bother to the owner at Udai Haveli. Having said that, the location was good, the breakfast was good, and the price was, obviously, good.

Udaipur is an amazing destination in India!!! And what made it even better was the Udai Haveli Guest House. I felt like I was at home with the people who works there. I have made new friends among them including Vicky which is such a patient and friendly person to deal with the variety of demanding customer! The home-made food... More

Udai Haveli is just what you need in a guest house. The rooms were simple yet clean and bright - much more than you would expect given the price. The location was great - right at the heart of things, yet on a quiet side street. Breakfast was included in our booking, and the food and tea were always spot... More

Nice little house. Clean rooms. Best to avoid the 2 rooms next to kitchen and breakfast area because dark and noisy. Very helpful and nice tenants. They are about to open 3 new rooms on another wing of the house. I would recommend this place for budget traveller looking for decent comfort.

The guesthouse is run by an awesome, trustworthy and generous guy, Viru. He has a great sense of humour which is marked by his distinctive laugh... you'll see what I mean. He always made time to chat and make sure we were well taken care of. He used to be a tour guide before he moved into the guesthouse business... More

I cannot rate this place highly enough! Stayed here for 6 weeks this year and 4 weeks last year whilst volunteering at Animal Aid. A lot of guesthouses in India actually just feel like hotels, but not this place! The hosts are truly accommodating, friendly and fun! The kids are adorable and one guy there, Vicky, is a saint and... More

Clean, basic, no-frills rooms. Excellent value. The family is genuinely friendly and this is much a homestay in that the family members engage with guests personally and make them feel welcome. The food is cooked in their family kitchen by the women of the house and is excellent homemade Indian fare. We were given a room beside the dining space... More

The perfect place to stay in Udaipur! I've been traveling for two months in India, and this was the best stay I've had. It's not just because Udaipur is a beautiful place with amazing things to see and do, it's because the host and host-family are so amazing! Viru is the ultimate host/guide, and a true gentleman. He is kind... More

Simple, basic, friendly, and all I needed. My room was clean, no AC, but fans worked alright. Staff was very friendly, treated me like family, and breakfast included. Great location, within walking distance of attractions.

We didn't know what to expect when we arrived to Udaipur, since this was the cheapest hotel we had booked. This was definitely a happy surprise. The standard of the rooms was not high, it was typical backpacking room with a fan, but the man "running" the hotel was amazing. He explained a lot, gave us tips about a show... More
