We arrived at Dev Vilas after a long day travelling and were immediately booked in and shown to our very spacious rooms. TWO bathrooms and most important an electric heater as the temperature had fallen quite significantly. The manager, who we were told by other guests, had the nickname of "The Maharajah" was superb, he could not do enough for... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights at the end of January, 2015. We were here for the tiger safaris in the Ranthambore Nature Preserve. We had a great experience here. The rooms were large (ours had 2 bathrooms), the food was very good to excellent, and the wait staff was outstanding. Service in general was typically responsive... More

Stayed here with a group early Feb. Very disappointed. The ground were not appealing. The rooms are large, "heated" with a space heater. Rug in room dirty.. Towels in room were damp. The food was OK and the help was nice Lobby furniture needs upgrade. Can't imagine how it could get any awards.

This hotel is only a few minutes from the gate to Ranthambore Park. It's a bit run down but has a warm welcome and attentive staff. They are geared up for game drives, with tea and blankets at the ready for those early starts. Food was ok, rooms huge and gardens nice but the best was the peace and the... More

We stayed here 25 to 27 Jan 2015. We arrived to a warm welcome with warm towels and a welcome drink. The room was fairly well appointed. The premises was well kept and it was good to see the owner's two Great Danes strutting around the place - they were very friendly. The dinners were very good - typical Rajasthani... More

Visited with a larger group, but the hotel was still eerily quiet. Not really a warm and welcoming kind of place - maybe this was just the cold winter January sinking in? Food was fine - we had a buffet for each meal and it was good but nothing special. Rooms are spacious. Attention to detail was sweet - distributing... More

This hotel is truly home from home and I think others have said the same! The rooms are huge, and yes, we had two bathrooms as did others and it really helps when you are getting ready for the early morning trip into Ranthambore! Everything was very clean, the bed comfortable, the food was amazing, the variety, the quality but... More

I'd give this hotel a FIVE but for one thing--the lighting in the rooms is not bright enough for reading. Several of my group sat outside during the day to do so as you can't roll up the window shades for natural light. The staff is great, the food wonderful, the rooms large and clean. Plus it's a short short-cut... More

The service was amazing - the staff take care of your every need. And the food was some of the best we had eaten in India - not to mention the freshly baked naan. Everything is planned around your schedule - so if you are going on a morning game drive, then there is coffee beforehand, and breakfast afterwards. The... More

We stayed in a tent and it was a nice experience. We had our own bathroom, plenty of space and during the night it was getting nice and cool. One morning a herd of Black-face monkeys were jumping over our tent roof, that was quite a racket. When we stayed there there were only a few people at the resort,... More
