A great place to stay, unwind and have the jungle experience. One of the unique properties where owner, Mr. Balendu Singh stays in the premises with family and three adorable Great Danes. The staff is mostly local, very helpful and real experts in their respective duties, right from the welcome drink till the end, when they see you off with... More

It’s been written before but needs to be said again: the rooms are huge. I stayed in a room with three adults so this fact was very appreciated as was the second restroom. The point of our visit, as I suppose most all, was to go on a safari to see tigers so we planned our time there to revolve... More

We have just finished a fours day tiger safari in Ranthambore. We stayed at Dev Vilas and enjoyed it very much. The property is beautiful with marble and the look of a place. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms could do with a serious upgrade. Failing air conditioners for one and the bedding... More

Hotel has feeling of a hunting house. The rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable and provided a good night sleep. Hotel operates on full board basis. Food choices were generally limited but what they offered was good. We came to this hotel for 2-night stay during the second week of our month long India tour with fewer and cold. Our requests... This hotel is on 2 levels around a grassed quadrangle. It has a delightful pool area. It is quite small and the dining room is rather like a large family dining room, with restricted, though perfectly adequate choice. It is isolated, so once you're back, you're back. The rooms are enormous and all different. We had a large seating area... More

We have previously visited Southern India, but this time my husband and I were visiting The Golden Triangle and Ranthambore. We have stayed in many hotels, mostly big chain hotels which are a bit impersonal and clinical. On the contrary, Dev Vilas had charm and character. It had a colonial feel, built in the style of an old hunting lodge.... More

A pip of the horn by Mr Ram and the gates of the Del Villas hotel swung open. We had arrived four hours after leaving Shahpura. A lovely pink building greeted us and we were soon shown to our room which turned out to be a Suite. Thanks again to those nice people at Trinetra Tours who had delivered once... More

We absolutely loved this hotel until a group of workmen arrived and started ripping out the hedge around the pool and clearing a piece of land behind it with a bulldozer in preparation for the construction of a new recreation centre! Up until then, we had enjoyed the serenity of this wonderful place....a welcome respite after a couple of busy... More

We arrived as part of a Collette tour at Dev Vilas just after lunch and our tour guide announced that not everyone would get a standard room. He asked for 7 volunteers to take the tents behind the hotel by the pool. Since I'm always ready for a bit of adventure, I volunteered and was delighted with my somewhat unusual... More

This place has a touch of the old world. Quiet location and good service, particurlarly in the dining room. In the cold weather it was lovely to have the beds warmed up by ho water bottle before going to bed. The pool looked nice and clean but not tempting with night temperatur close to freezing.
