Recently had to travel (June 2014) with Ranthambore with a group of photography enthusiasts. This was also one of the hottest months. The looks from outside are deceiving. Looks very small from outside, but as you step down from the stairs the area is decently big. All rooms are with AC, big in size, with basic amenities. There is also... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst on a tiger safari. The rooms are very basic but contain everything that we needed. The service from staff and the breakfast and dinner buffets in the restaurant were excellent. There was also a good swimming pool and reliable wireless on the reception area. We very much enjoyed our stay, and... More

I was here just for one night, fortunately. My room was big - a small sitting area, a very large bedroom and a big bathroom. But, it wasn't particularly clean and the bathroom blind had to be kept down, otherwise anyone walking up from the pool would have had a direct view of the toilet - and the blind was... More

Clean spacious rooms with pleasant bathroom, but the hotel was empty. We were comfortable but we had to air the bedding when we arrived as it was damp. There is a bar but it looked as if it had not been in service for some time. The staff layed on massive buffet dinner of curries but we only wanted simple... More

Step back in time and enjoy this beautiful and classy royal hunting lodge. Stunning veranda overlooking beautiful gardens, panelled public rooms and spacious airy bedrooms, with excellent modern sanitary facilities. Service courteous and gracious and the food good. Play the Raja for a few nights!

This lodge looked pleasant enough. However, we discovered that when we opened the bathroom door, a smell of raw sewage emerged. We soon discovered why - the toilet could only be flushed occasionally, as the cistern would not fill. So, we started using the bucket which was in the bath, filling that with water, and manually flushing the toilet. The... More

Stayed as part of an organised tour of national parks. Room was comfortable with a huge bedroom, bathroom and seating area. As with most places in India the plumbing was a little erratic with hot water at only certain times of the day and hot/cold taps labelled wrong. Gardens very tidy and well kept, stayed in winter so didn't try... More

Stayed here for a few days whilst on safari at Ranthambore National Park. I have to admit I was a little shocked when I first saw it, looked quite run down, but the grounds were pretty. Swimming pool a little dirty, but ok if you're desperate in the heat! Room fine, seems hard to get really clean linen in this... More

We recently stayed here during our tour of India. We were here for the tiger safari at the national park (one drive pre breakfast and another mid afternoon). The lodge was a perfect spot to stay in between safari drives, it is basic but clean and comfortable and all the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly - any review of... More
