Excellent place to stay if you are a lover of Indian forests and wildlife. The accomodation is in the middle of the forest on top of a hillock and is part of zone11 of the sanctuary. The place is basic, rustic but has its own charm. If you need 5 star luxury, there are enough expensive resorts including the Oberoi... More

This is the RTDC's only property in the area that is well in to the forest and gives you a feel of being in the wild. Rooms are cleaned and well placed. Good and sober decor. Fantastic view but need some regular maintenance of the old building. If you are lucky, you can even see tigers and leopards without even... More

This is the only property in the area that is well into the forest area and gives a feel of being in the wild. Though an old building and needs maintenance, the view from the terrace is breathtaking. If you are lucky you can even see tigers and leopards without even leaving the hotel. For the wonderful location, the price... More

It has the advantage of being away form the city unlike most other hotels in Sawai Madhopur...but it is just average...don't expect heritage like service and rooms though they have tried to...it is not worth the money....food is below average...no much variety to offer...sitting a little elevated it offers a good view...the people claim to have spotted some leopards as... As a RTDC Property, It definitely has a very nice location. Value for Money compare to very costly resort in that area. It's decent place to stay with good staff. If you are not looking for any ultimate luxury it's really a good place to stay. Jungle safari picks you from the hotel and drop you back after safari so... More

Just came back from my vacation in Ranthambore. The entry into Jhoomar Baori took my breadth away. What a fantastic Location. Adjacent to the National Park, on top of a Hill absolutely Serene and calm. All you can hear are the chirping of various types of Birds and the rustle of the leaves. A perfect place to sit back, relax... More

On my third visit, I planned to stay in Jhoomar Baori, since I heard a lot about this hotel's location. There is no two minds about the hotel's location which is best in Ranthambhore, since its situated at the fringe of the national park and on top of a hill, giving a nice perspective of jungle from its terrace. I... More

We booked to stay at Castle Jhoomar Baori for two nights in February. It is a goverment run former hunting lodge set in the tiger park about 3 km from the village. We paid the equivalent of £85 per night including very mediochre food.On arrival it was obvious the lodge was undergoing major refurbishment with paint and rubbish everywhere. The first two rooms... A trip to to Ranthambhore would have been a boring affair but for the stay at this RTDC Hotel. It is the hunting lodge of the Maharana, now converted into a hotel. The place is in the midst of its own private forest. The driveway itself is more than 2kms. long. I could even chase two herds of spotted dear and blue... More
