We stayed there during the month of september and the place is beautiful. However, the drive in/out to the hotel from the main entrance is around 2 Kms and you will have to rely on cabs. Later we figured that most of the hotels there operate the same way. While staying here one has to be prepared for slow repsonse... more
Jhoomar baori is located on top of a mountain and has awesome view. You can infact see chinkara (gazzelles) and spotted deer around it. Even leapords are known to be seen sometimes. We were a group of 6 for the trip to Ranthambore NP ... 2 couples & 2 friends. We choose to stay at the RTDC (Rajasthan Tourism) run Castle Jhoomar Baori since it is the only accomodation located inside the Sanctuary (the National Park is of course off limits for all accomodation) & also because of it's relatively reasonable price.... more
Stayed here with our 8 year old twins in Oct 2007. Ambience. location magical. Food and service unsurpassed. Service above and beyond - when one of the girls took sick they were given the best service including trips to the doctor, An amazing place to stay and we saw 3 tigers !! Castle Jhoomar Baori is a beautifully-situated hotel set on its own several miles from town within Ranthambore National Park.
