This is the second time I've reviewed this lodge. We go every spring break, Angel Fire has updated parts of the lodge & this time we stayed in the updated part & I appreciate the changes. The view is outstanding. The updates cannot change the fact that the housekeeping staff is abysmal & the noise level is out of control.... More

I am not sure about some of the negative reviews- we were there for 5 nights during spring break, and the Lodge was great. Negative: Resort policy on cancellations and refunds (which we didnt need, but know things can happen) however when we booked, they were very clear on the policy. Need a bit more lighting in the rooms Positives:... More

The last update must have been in the 70's. Crumbs and blood and bleach stains all over the carpet, cigarette burns in most of the comforters, found a tobacco dip bottle under the chair from previous people that stayed in that room, wasn't stocked with toilet paper so my son had to use Kleenex, television broken, bathrooms were subpar, fixtures... Very good service, super nice folks, not too fancy, very clean and well taken care of. Very convenient for all day skiers. It was nice to be able to go back to the room to rest and change. The restaurants are convenient and have excellent service/food as well. Hot tub and pool were nice. We loved it and will definitely... More

As others have mentioned, there isn't much to do in Angel Fire, so if you are not there to ski, go somewhere else. That said, the skiing was great, the mountain is small enough that you don't get lost, there are a lot of people out there working on the mountain and on the lifts, and it's cheaper than Colorado.... Reservation: as recommended by other tripadvisor users, we decided to book one of their renovated rooms on the Alpine wing but we found they have only one type of renovated room (two queen beds) listed on their website. So I had to call them to check the availability of a renovated king room and luckily they had one available and... More

Those in my family who ski thought the skiing was very good, even though it was early in the season. They specifically commented that the staff were extremely friendly. I also had a nordic ski lesson at the Country Club associated with the resort and the teacher and the experience were excellent. That said, there are a number of drawbacks:... More

We went skiing for 3 days and enjoyed everyday day. Everyone was cheerful, and the food and the room was great. The pool and jacuzzi were a welcome end to each day. We parked the car on day one and never used it for 4 days. We will be back.

Have you ever wanted to take a ski trip, but thought to yourself, "I don't want to relax on this trip. I want to feel like the elevator is right in my room so I can hear people coming and going, especially the kiddie squeals." If so, then definitely stay here. We have been here several times and knew not... More

Luckily we got a good price for a last minute night away or I would have been really disappointed. The rooms, in the un-remodeled section, were dark and even my teenager commented on how dirty the carpets looked. The fireplace was seriously electric with fake fire noise and red light and we just took it as quirky fun. The rooms... More
