I took a group to Angelfire for Spring Break....I should have known from the beginning that the lack of organization and communication from the Group Sales Department that this was not going to work out. (Before this gets bad I have to give a BIG and HUGE positive note for the medical staff at the base of the lift, my... more

Overall...This place was probably awesome back in 1987. Unfortunately, its late 2009. Apparently, the restaurant is undergoing this renovation. Unfortunately, the construction started at 7:30am. The pool looked okay if i were 14 years old. The hot tub was not working and not filled. The coffee shop downstairs was okay. Affordable if you can believe it. The bar. Well i... more

With 2 weeks left to the ski season we arrived in late March. However, no one bothered to notify us in advance that the hotel decided to close the slopes 2 weeks early this year. Therefore, the town and hotel was deserted with most shops and restaurants closed. It seems most of the staff were let go especially housekeeping. Its... more

We reserved two nights over the 4th of July in a delux suite in the hotel. We were given room 401. First thing I noticed was that room was hot. There was no AC only two oscillating fans. Our hope was that it would cool down at night. Room has a private patio but it was covered with what look... more

This was our first time to visit Angel Fire....My husband and his brother, myself and my sister-in-law...On our way we were worried about no snow..But..when we got there the place was amazing....Gorgeous white stuff everywhere...We took over 450 pictures....The scenery was just beautiful....We rented ski equipment and everyone was so helpful at the rental....My husband took the ski lessons..It really... more

I had a few problems with the resort, but nothing that would keep me from staying there again. The rooms are quite spacious, have a frig & balcony. The bathroom was average, although it was a wonder that I was able to get my makeup on straight, the lighting was BAD... Other that that, it was OK and I would... more

Spent the last week of March "slope side" at AF with my fiancé and kids. Angel Fire is a sleepy town with OK skiing. This "resort" hotel is in dire need of an upgrade. There were large signs in the lobby advertising some great new upgrade construction in progress......we didn't see anything. Skied the first day at AF, the conditions... more

angel fire's base lift is less than 100 yards (and more than 100 stairs) from the back entrance of the hotel. that convenience was why we booked our stay here and we truly appreciated that. we had room 505 which has a balcony view of the base lift. it is a double, double, with two upholstered chairs, ottoman, desk/ chair,... more

My wife, our 5-mo old baby, and I stayed here for three nights, just before spring break '08 hit. The hotel was just what we wanted: - comfortable room. Yes, it was on the dark side, but it was clean, had a fridge, a coffee maker, and plenty of space - easy access to the slopes. We took turns riding... more
