My husband and I arrived late at night and were still very warmly welcomed by Govind and his family. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, with our own bathroom and balcony. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and they even gave us some great travel tips on what to see and do in Jodhpur. We would highly recommend this... More

I stayed there last year.A guesthouse with real personal family touch. Owner are always available to help you with guidance or to chat. Very kindly people and very good food. Very nice places to stay if travelling by your self as owners make big effort to include guest as part of the family and you will feel like you are... More

I had such a great time here in Durag Niwas Guest House. If you're hungry you can just walk into the kitchen and try whatever is available and make ur own meals. That's what I love about it. The service was excellent.

This Guest House is popular with NGOs and has a relaxed feeling about it. The Guest House was full and we were given a room next store, on the ground floor with a concrete bed and thin mattress. the room was disappointing and not clean. We had breakfast booked early but they had forgotten and when it arrived the crockery... More

We had such a wonderful time in the beautiful guesthouse with the Durag Niwas family that we would like to go back as soon as possible. The rooms are very nice and ours the Rajput suite is just a dream. The bathroom big enough and very clean; hot water for 24 hours. The atmosphere in the house is peaceful and... More

We stayed here for two nights in November. The place was beautiful and the rooms really pretty - we even had a lodger in our room - a small lizard :) You got a nice view of the city and, although it wasn't centrally located, tuk tuk's were easy to get at the end of the street. The food was... More

Clean rooms and bathrooms are clean. You can also have food there as they have a home-run kitchen. Service is not very quick as it is family-run. They reserved a room for us when we booked via email. However, they do not offer free pick up from railway station.

You will love staying here and enjoy this beautifully decorated and traveler-friendly guesthouse! It has much to offer that sets it apart from the usual guesthouse... but make sure you book ahead - many rooms are occupied by volunteers of all ages (18 to 70!) coming here from all over the world, helping this family empower the underprivileged women and... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Durag Niwas GuesthouseEstablished since 1990, Durag Niwas Guest House holds the reputation of being one of the oldest and first few guest houses in Jodhpur today - A Rajput family run guest house, a travelers home stay.At our home we wish to make your stay most comfortable and memorable, staying with our family you will experience the difference between staying at an ordinary guest house or hotel and staying with the hospitality and familiar atmosphere of a family run guest house. If you are staying somewhere else on your travel to Jodhpur you are always welcome to come over for tea, coffee or Coke or to use any of our services we offer. This household has always been welcoming guests and enjoying giving others hospitality for many years. We remember when we were very young boys our Grandpa hosted many parties of all the important local family including the Army, Police, Politicians and Royalty. We remember walking down the road being welcomed by the sound of laughter and music and we knew Grandpa was having another one of his parties! We have carried on this tradition ever since by welcoming guests and hoping that they experience some of the culture and traditions that happen throughout the year in an old traditional house including Diwali - festival of lights -, Holi - festival of colours - and many other celebrations. There are other festivals hosted in Jodhpur such as RIFF (Rajasthan International Folk Festival) and World Sufi Spirit Festival that are world famous. ... more   less
