We stayed here along time ago in December 1989 to be exact. We could not afford the beautiful but (snobby) Umaid Bhawan Palace so we opted for this one which was then owned by the Maharaja of Jodhpur's uncle. A lovely man, he used to come around each evening and ask every guest how they were going and also was... More

Ajit Bhawan is a luxury hotel. We were in a rather daft bogus village hut, complete with thatched roof. The room was spacious, with a dressing room, a large bathroom (bath and walk in shower, two basins) and a shaded sitting out area. It was fairly quiet: the hotel is set back from a main road. Anokhi is about 5... More

We stayed here after arriving from a superb experience in Jaipur. The lady in reception was a little impatient whilst we drank the welcome drink,or so it felt. We were impressed with the main building and the pool, which was closed when we arrived at 19:00. The restaurant was ok, but the food arrived Luke warm and mixed up, starters... More

We only stayed 1 night here - and it's definitely a place I'd like to return. Absolutely beautiful - a heritage hotel. The plants / flowers were in full bloom. The room itself was huge, and we had a very nice bathroom - with plenty of hot water. Very clean too. They have very peaceful areas to sit outside in,... More

Let me start by saying that there is nothing wrong with this hotel but we arrived from the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur, so it was always going to be a tough act to follow. What didn't impress us was the reception, perfectly efficient, but the lady who showed us to our room was just plain miserable and really left... More

We spent our 25th wedding anniversary at Ajit Bhavan. What an experience!! We got a room upgrade to start with. On our anniversary they sent us a yummy cake to our room. The property is fabulous & the staff were so helpful and out to make your stay the best! . The room was so uniquely done and had its... More

We where fortunate to be staying 2 nights at this very peaceful hotel. The rooms are all spread out around a landscaped garden with ponds and fountains. The rooms are large and very well set up. Good sized, clean bathrooms and exceptionally comfortable beds. There is free wifi throughout the rooms which are all decorated quite traditionally. Breakfast is a... More

We stayed three nights and were very comfortable. The rooms are spacious with good TVs and the bathrooms are big. Ours also had a terrace out front where we could sit in relative privacy. The staff is friendly and overly attentive (we had about four waiters swarming round our table at breakfast). Breakfast is fine, at lunch the food wasn't... More

The accomodations consist of several small buildings each containing a few rooms. The expression “bar the door” really applies to my room as to lock the door from the inside, I use a wooden draw bar to secure the double doors like you would see in an ancient fort. To lock the room when I leave there is a similar... More
