Tucked away in the busy centre of Jodhpur you enter through an imposing gateway into an oasis of calm. Lovely by day the grounds and view are stunning by night. The fusion of old and new comes as a welcome break to the more regal style prevalent in other hotels. Very clean, lovely pool.

This hotel is in a magnificently restored haveli, and also has really cool modern touches added. The rooms have jaw-dropping views of the fort, both during the day and then especially at night. The food at the restaurant is also amazing. For those trying to decide between this and the Umaid Bhawan Palace, I would definitely choose this. It's within... More

Raas is a beautiful, stunning blend of traditional and contemporary architecture that is thumbprint of Jodhpur city. It is one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in, especially in India but that comes with a lot of shocks to your senses! (We stayed in a luxury room with fort view). First shock comes to your sense of smell, that... More

We stayed at RAAS last week and it was one of the best stays we have ever had. The place has a great view of the fort which is stunning when lit up at night; the area and rooms are done up very tastefully and lighting within the hotel itself is very good. Most importantly, the service levels of the... More

In the heart of the city and on the foothills of the fort. Great experience to live Jodhpur in a royal way. I loved the music and the spa is awesome ! Food and service is par excellence. Use hotel auto for transport. They can do special dinners on request.

Situated in the hart of the walled city of Jodhpur, Hotel Raas is the mixture of an old haveli and a new design build part that melts perfectly together. A warm, professional welcome in the small reception area. Rooms are maybe a bit dark due to the choice of wood, but it doesn't disturb as there the lighting in evening... More

A wonderful experience! The hotel gives the impression of fusion with the beautiful fortress which overlooks it. The hotel employees are young, very nice and helpful. A great place to hang out during the hot hours and a perfect base to explore the old city, the fortress, etc. The rooftop restaurant is also cozy and affordable. We usually don’t stay... More

Fantastic.heritage property but fully modernized. Restaurant had terrific food. Indian and continental. Flourless chocolate cake was the best i can remember! Great view of the fort which is lit at night. In the old part of the city. Pool is great. Service is fantastic. Highly recommended. Only downside was a temple nearby with regular prayers.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Inside the Walled City of Jodhpur and under the imposing stare of Mehrangarh Fort, sits RAAS. The site was formerly the home of the aristocratic Thakur family, and the original 18th-century haveli has been carefully renovated to produce the four old buildings of the hotel. The three new buildings are modern and contemporary in their use of space and light, and yet are grounded in tradition. Jodhpur's red sandstone unites the new with the old, with modern designs in its latticing and carving adding a fresh dimension to the region's age-old stone carving industry. This seamless harmony between the old and the new, the modern and the traditional, extends to all aspects of RAAS. Almost all of the rooms have magnificent views of Mehrangarh Fort from both the private terraces and from the cast iron bathtubs, and those that don’t have their own private gardens and views over the old haveli and landscaped gardens of RAAS. The rooms are furnished with state of the art amenities: all rooms are air-conditioned with the latest eco friendly machines, and have overhead fans, hairdryers, safes, central heating, wi-fi, TV, telephones and en suite bathrooms. There are rooms with easy access for the handicapped and non-smoking rooms. RAAS boasts two fine dining restaurants, which offer both Indian and International cuisine: Darikhana is a beautiful terraced restaurant and the Baradari Café is inside the old pavilion and offers a relaxing location near the pool. There is also a luxury spa that offers a full range of treatments and a boutique shop. RAAS is the ideal place to soak up the rich local heritage of Jodhpur while at the same time indulging in opulent luxury and comfort. As soon as you drive through the old wooden gates in RAAS’s very own blue tuk-tuk, the majesty of Mehrangarh Fort will be tempered by your sense of relaxation. ... more   less
