The owners welcome you with open arms: feels like we were coming home after a long trip. They served us authentic rajasthani food on arrival, which was delishh. Accomodation was good, simple, homely. 5/5

We have found Chhotaram's Village tour by chance, a lucky one! When in Luni staying at the Fort Chanwa, we wanted to visit the Bishnois and have a taste of the wild life of the area, so we searched for a local safari tour. We saw all we wanted and planned for, and more!!! Chhotaram took us home to his... More

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights in February, and what an amazing time we had. Chhotaram and his family made us feel very welcome. They are wonderful hosts. The food was fantastic, and every evening we would sit around the hearth and watch as the most amazing food was prepared. Every meal was different and delicious. We went... More

I did a tour with Chhatoram in March this year and loved every second of it! He was exceedingly accommodating considering Id asked for a tour at such short notice (just the night before!) He picked me up from my accommodation and asked me first and foremost what I wanted to see and get out of the tour. I told... More

Durry (Rug) weaving . . Local weavers have formed a co-operative involving 40 families in and around the outlying areas of the Thar Dessert, ensuring a fair system of trade and sustaining the longevity of this amazing craft. Chhotu's father gathers the rugs from around the region by camel and cart…traditionally maintaining authenticity in the craft of Durry Weaving. Today,... More

I stayed with Chhotaram and his family for 3 days in February and it was by far one of my highlights in India. I wanted to show my Mum the joys and insights you receive at home stays, and I couldn't have made a more wonderful choice. Chhotaram and his family take great care of their guests, they have a... We spent one night with Chhotaram Prajapat and his huge extended family at their rural home stay outside Jodhpur, and I’m glad we did. It was a welcome change from the rest of our India travels (and we've been here five weeks). From the moment Chhotaram’s mother greets you—placing a red dot on your forehead with grains of rice for... More

My wife and I had a great time at Chhotaram's Homestay. We got to meet the entire family, exchanged some good laughs, and had pleasant conversations with other fellow travelers. We toured the village and got to see another side of India. They serve good simple fresh food and a seemingly unlimited amount of tea. We suggest you bring earplugs... More

We are a family traveling with our two sons aged 11 and 13. We stayed two nights with Chhotu and his extended family. They were generous and warm. The food was delicious. The accommodations were comfortable. The experience was great. We got an authentic experience of Indian village life.

My wife and I spent 3 days/2 nights at the Chottoram's Homestay. It was a unique experience staying with Chottoram and his extended family, including his wife, parents, brother and sister in law and 7 children. We were greeted with open arms right from the outset being given a traditional welcome of a cotton wrist tie and dab of vermillion... More
