First the positives: A very good comfortable hotel to stay. Staff is very courteous and the food is great. Hi, I am a Canadian Citizen working with CAIRNS ENERGY in Barmer. During first week of Dec. 2009, I stayed with my wife in Hotel Jaisalgarh, Jaisalmer about 150 Kms. from Barmer. I Stayed in Hotel Jaisalgarh and came away extremely dissapointed with my experience. I feel i confused with another well known hotel inside the fort - Hotel Jaisalgarh palace , and ended up booking online for this Hotel instead. The location is not conducive ,as it is practically on the outskirts of the town , close to the BSF area... more

The rooms are small but nice but the toilets are too small, and you definitely need a vehicle with you. Overall an average hotel to stay. more

After a long delayed train from Delhi- we checked in Hotel Jaisalgarh, and were hugely impressed with care taken. Though we ordered Lunch at 3.30 PM (train was supposed to arrive 11. AM but actually arrived 2.30 PM)- the staff was prompt and took full menu and prepared fresh. Our 3 years old daughter also enjoyed Puppet show in garden... more

I arrived with my family of wife and 2 young children by train from Jodhpur early morning. We were picked up from Train Stn and tranferred to Hotel in less than 5 minutes. "On recommendation of a friend hailing from Jodhpur, we chose Hotel jaisal garh for our stay. We arrived by graveyard shift- Jodhpur train, and were picked by Hotel. The room was on Ground Floor, and didnot get us Fort View, so we asked them to change to another floor, with fort view Very nice comfortable stay, full of good memories.... more
