This is possibly my second or third review for Paradise Hotel on the Fort in Jaisalmer, I can't remember because I've stayed here 9 times in the last ten years (last year I had a broken foot and couldn't walk up to the fort so easily). The hotel staff haven't changed in years which is a bonus because they are... More

This place feels like a dream now thinking back - were we really there? Do it, it's cool place! My family and I with 2 daughters aged 10 and 12 stayed 3 nights here in Aug.2013 enjoying sweet views of the west Indian desert every morning and evenings. You can really enjoy all of the fort right outside the gate... More

To stay here is kind of a dream. More or less 800 years ol palace, old as the fort is. It's right on the wall, so you view is amazing. Rooftop breathtaking. Nice and helpful people. Quite good the desert safari as well. The restaurant is very beautyful and the food is decent, not the best but you cannot find... More

Spent two nights here book ending a night in the desert. The room was atmospheric and had a great view perched over the outer wall of the fort. The manager, Diez (sp?), was helpful with our onward travel questions and wasn't pushy with any sales. Meanwhile, the server, Yasin, at their rooftop restaurant was super attentive, friendly and helpful.

Service in hotel is not up to mark. Had two nights stay, but rooms were not cleaned any time. No facility of basic toiletries in room. Breakfast was restricted to Paratha with pickle. Kids asked for juice in lieu of tea, it was charged.

This is a quite sub standard hotel and like a dharamshala.Rooms provided by them are very small and not mainained at all.Toilet also is in a horrible condition.Hot water is provided during morning only(7.00 to 12.00).Only their roof top restaurant is fantastic and food quality also is good.

Food is pretty good. It is well located inside the fort which is the main area of the city. But please make sure that you have all the details of the room in writing from the owner before confirming the booking. Beware of verbal confirmation.

There is nothing better than staying in Jaisalmer inside the fort and Hotel Paradise was the perfect choice. It's located very close to the main gate, inside the walls itself, close to everything. Although Jaisalmer fort is really small so if you're in the fort everything is close. We stayed in the honeymoon room and it was extremely spacious, very... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel paradise is located in the part of the palace of the Maharaja of Jaisalmer which was formerly used for the accommodation of the royal family guests. The building as it stands today is about 400 years old. The rooms, which are cool in summer and sheltered in winter, are centered around a shady garden courtyard with bougainville trees. The rooms situated next to the wall have a view from the desert Garisar Lake. Breakfast and drinks are served on the rooftop terrace. Hotel Paradise is just off the main square of Jaisalmer fort, on entering the fort through the 4th gate. Many facilities are provided like camel safaris, excursions by jeep to villages, historical monuments like forts, temples and other places of interest in the desert. It is also possible to book bus and train tickets. The owner, Captain Chandra, head manager and the rest of his staff will be happy to give you any assistance you may need and will do their utmost to make your stay at Hotel Paradise an enjoyable and memorable holiday. ... more   less
