Like a dream from the past, staying at Hotel Victoria will let you live it in the present day. A friendly hotel-provided tuk-tuk driver pointed out city/fort highlights, as we wound upward through narrow vibrant alleys. The romantic charm of this hotel is evident from the moment you walk in the door ... candle-light, incense and deep red floating rose... more

The Stay at Victoria was awesome!! If you want to be a king, live in this live Fort. My entire family loved it. The rooms are superb, the service is personal. The balcony....what to say.... you can see entire jaisalmer. My family stayed there and nobody was interested to go out. They said Fort is the place for all of... more

We stayed in the honeymoon "sweet" (the one with the balcony). It was an absolutely gorgeous room and we really enjoyed our stay here. The decoration was charming, the bathroom very nice and the service and friendliness of the staff were great. I would recommend stretching your budget a little bit further on this occasion and get this room. You... more

We would not call Victoria a hotel, we would call it a home! It is after all an ancestral home, that has been converted for lodging. my husband and I did a 2 week trip of Rajasthan and Victoria turned out to be the most beautiful surprise of ALL the hotels we stayed in. I don't know where to start... more

The Victoria is ok but I think the room we had, the "honeymoon" room 2, with the balcony overlooking the town was very overpriced. We had decided to splash out towards the end of our 2 week trip around Rajasthan and because the Killa Balawan rooms with balconies were just too pricey for us we plumped for the Victoria. The... more

We stayed three nights at the Victoria Hotel and were glad to leave! I know other people have given good reviews on this hotel, but that just wasn't our experience. The first room we had was quite small, although sufficient and the shower tiny. That room was 2050Rs, but in my opinion was probably worth about 1000rs less than that.... more

A stay at the Hotel Victoria is alone worth a visit to Jaisalmer. It is a gem of a place, located within the walls of a 12th century fort that's in the middle of the city. Breakfast is served on the roof top, looking out over the city with the desert beyond. The staff couldn't be kinder or more accommodating.... more

Beautifully located within the fort in Jaisalmer, Hotel Victoria is a real gem! We phoned from the gate on arrival and a tuc tuc arrived in no time to transport us and our luggage to the door, where Susil (spelling?), the charming Nepali manager, warmly greeted us and showed us our charmingly decorated room with its stone walls and jheroka... more

Quirky beautifully restored Haveli within the fort. Our room was fabulous with a super thick mattress, the best one I slept on in India. Lovely bathroom too with an impressive shower. The manager and his staff were friendly and helpful and did not try to sell us anything in a pressurised way. Fantastic roof terrace with sunset views. It was... more

What a beautiful stay! Can't do more but to confirm all earlier reviews. The rooms and ambience of the hotel is one of its kind. All rooms are decorated with a lot of love and taste. The staff is excellent and always makes sure that perfect care is taken of all possible wishes. They definitely make one feel at home.... more
