The hotel is situated way inside the castle and you need an autorickshaw to drive you there. If you call the hotel guys they generally make the arrangements to drive you there. Its strictly a budget hotel with no TV in the rooms. The rooms are quiet small and the bathrooms are have no such thing called the "hotel-like-feel".The view from the rooms... This beautiful old haveli, the oldest in Jaiselmer, sits on top of the battlements of ancient Jaiselmer. From its rooftop restaurant you can see the edge of the dunes, the camel racing stadium and the fringe of the old city stretching towards the desert. Along one side of the courtyard is the prayer room, which is regularly used by staff... More

I stayed here in October. There were 5 of us and we booked two rooms. We were told that there are no TVs in the rooms as it is a heritage property. We understood and checked in around 10pm, had our dinner and went to sleep around 12. The ACs of both the rooms stopped working at night. We did... More

We stayed in the maharaja room upstairs in the haveli that gave us a big veranda outside the room door looking over the golden city. Ilyas was very helpful and friendly. half of the haveli is a hotel and the other half is the residence of the owner's family. They seemed very religious and private. The hotel is deep inside... We were two couples, all friends since the university, which made our trip all the more cosy and memorable, but staying at Jaisal was the best decision that we could have taken. A lovely heritage property situated inside the fort, simple decor and homely environment. From the moment we entered, we got a lovely reception from the staff and the... More

this is a nice hotel nestled inside the fort itself. the location is awesome. the only problem is that it is quite a walk to the hotel. auto's do go up to the main chowk but during a heavy tourist season, they are not allowed up till 4 pm. this created a bit of a problem as we had heavy... More

Had a great 2 night stay at jaisal castle last week. It is family owned and run by their daughter in law who is extremely sweet and takes care of each and every detail. If your looking at staying inside the fort, then this is the best place. Keep in mind that they do not allow cars beyond the fort... More

Nice place, nice cosy room, and fantastic view from the top. However, to reach this place was tough. Auto's here charge a ransom for 2min ride to the part where you need to drop off and then head on foot. The guy who came to collect our luggage till we reach the hotel, was literally dragging our luggage and more... More

me, along with my parents went to Jaisalmer in the year 2011. Rooms are almost similar as they show in the photos. But...we slept at night with sunglass and covering face by clothes as white dusts were falling from the ceiling which is really bad for eyes. Roof top night view is awesome. Basically it is not a hotel, rather... More
