me, along with my parents went to Jaisalmer in the year 2011. Rooms are almost similar as they show in the photos. But...we slept at night with sunglass and covering face by clothes as white dusts were falling from the ceiling which is really bad for eyes. Roof top night view is awesome. Basically it is not a hotel, rather... More

Jaisalmer is a very popular Rajasthan destination- specially for Bengalis. It was made famous by Late Satyajit Ray in his film "Sonar Kella" which means "Golden Fort" We visited Jaisalmer in Feb' 14 and stayed 2 nights. We reached fairly late (travelling from Jodhpur via camel safari) The first view was absolutely fascinating. The whole fort was blazing in lights... More

We travelled to Jaisalmer in the hot summer of last year and really enjoyed our stay at the Jaisal Castle. It is a quiet and beautiful place to stay. Ali was very friendly and helpful. The fresh home cooked Indian dishes are served in the courtyard. We never managed to get french fries without the chili pepper for our kids... More

Everything about this hotel was fascinating. It is actually a large home set within the confines of the huge castle. In many cases in India, where the upkeep of the heritage buildings prove too expensive, the Indian government contributes towards to upkeep if the owners open up their homes to tourists. In this case Jaisal Castle Hotel has 5 rooms... More

Very helpful, atmospheric hotel, great view over the city. We had booked and paid online, but on arriving in Jaisalmer our son got sick and we had to postpone the planned camel safari. There was no problem moving the booking forward by a day. Thanks to Ali who was particularly helpful while our son was sick. Note: you can only... More

I came to Jaisalmer for the Fort and the desert. Naturally I chose to stay inside the Fort. I met a fellow traveler in the train and decided to travel together. We looked for most of the hotels inside the Fort and finally settled for Jaisal Castle. What I liked is its corner (southwest) location in the fort that look... More

We had a very good stay there. Booked via agent in Nepal. Not all rooms nice and I guess they keep only guests in one or two rooms, the top rooms with the great views. Had balcony to ourselves. Staff helpful, water problems reported in other reviews seemed solved for our room (not for the other). Never had a hotel... More

We stayed two nights in this castle in the fort and had a really great time. It is very picturesque and high in the fort so has excellent views, particularly at night. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, sorting out laundry and cooking some good food. All the locals we spoke to commented on how nice it was, and... More

This is a lovely heritage boutique hotel situated atop the jaisalmer fort providing amazing view of the town from its balcony. All rooms well appointed and maintained well. Getting hot water in the taps was a problem though. But the caretaker Eliyas provides cheerful service with a smile always. Food is terrific and homely. Its a family run hotel and... More

I stayed here, as a solo traveller, for three nights in Nov'11. Not the poshest of places but simple and comfortable. I was the only one staying at hotel at that time so I got full attention. As mentioned elsewhere, I is situated bang inside the fort with great views of Jaisalmer town from most rooms. They have a nice... More
