A portion of the hotel is a museum... very few artifacts are worth going and seeing... what was facinating was Raja's motorcycle - battery operated. its good to go and spend some time taking photos of the palace...

We are in Jaisailmer for two days at the Mandir Palace Hotel. What a find! It's really close to the fort, roof top restaurants and tons of tourist type shops, if that's your thing. The actual hotel was built in the early part of the 20th century when the Maharaja decided to move from the fort to this area. Apparently... More

The hotel was good with ok food. Location was good, in the middle of city. rooms were good. Got free entry to the palace visit - no guide available !! service ok. Nothing special for the restaurant or rooms or interior. - routine rajasthan looks. no outdoor / indoor sports. only swimming pool available.

Stayed here 4 nights over the Diwali holiday. The hotel is an amazing old haveli and part museum. It was one of the most beautiful hotels we stayed in in India. Be aware that breakfast is NOT included in the room cost which is quite uncommon. The breakfast, however, is delicious.. It is situated in a quiet location off the... More

The start of my recent stay at the Mandir Palace was not without any hick-ups. I has booked a "Golden Suite" but was first shown to a room that was neither "golden" nor a suite of rooms. After this was sorted out, I got the most romantic suite, with its own terrace, overlooking the pool and the other parts of... More

A stunning property but...trying to get the booking was a nightmare. The rooms look fabulous at first glance, but then....the A/C doesn't really work, it just blows warm air, the hot water trickles out of the shower, no hairdryer etc. The breakfast is a disaster. But having said that, it is a fabulously romantic building, and I would much rather... More

We stayed in Mandir Palace for one night after coming back from our wonderful stay in Damodra Desert Camp. During our Rajasthan trip, we paid the most for a normal room at Mandir Palace so the review is on the basis of the value for the money paid and that we had stayed in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer desert camp, Jaisalmer... I was here with my parents for a visit to Jaisalmer. I lived here for 2 nights. The hotel is basically an old palace, a part of which has been converted to a hotel. I booked this hotel because Taj Rawalkot did not have accommodation available during the dates I booked. The hotel is decent only for those who want... More

We spent 2 nights here during a tour of Rajasthan. The hotel is centrally located and has good access to markets and sights. The hotel is a very nice heritage property. Rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. The hotel staff were very pleasant and attentive. There is a nice pool area. The restaurant and dining area are a bit spartan.

The residence of the royal family of Jaisalmer, this Palace was built simultaneously with the temples of Sri Ram & Sri Giridharji. While the locals stayed in the Jaisalmer Fort, the royals stayed in Mandir Palace adjacent to the fort. Presently this wonderful palace has been converted to a unique heritage hotel. Was fortunate to visit and meet the uncle... More
