This hotel is stunning, although it needs a bit of tlc to reach its potential. A bit far out of town which is frustrating when the hotel staff kept ordering the same tuc tuc driver who repeatedly over charged. Other than that staff were attentive and helpful if a little slow. Sunset from the roof is stunning. An interesting place... More

This property belonged to the Maharajas of Jaisalmer , the Royal Guest House. First President and Prime Minister of India have stayed here. This must have been good at that point of time because the furniture , decoration , the building are good. But now, this palace is not good for stay , staff is helpful but they too can't... More

Hotel is magnificent, its a heritage property but as soon as you enter its clearly visible there is no maintenance and really in need of renovation. First morning we didn't have water in bathroom however that was resolved after 1-2 hour but they didn't have hot water which was also resolved upon starting of boiler and took some more time... Jawahar niwas is a heritage hotel... but we were disappointed with the hotel.. the rooms are spacious but not well maintained at all... there was no buffet bbreakfast. One day, the breakfast was aloo paratha and boiled eggs.. the other day it was upma and boiled eggs... one would expect some variety at least if not a good spread.. the... More

We stayed here in December for 3 nights while taking part in the Rickshaw Run. From the outside it looks very impressive, and it is a beautiful building, but it is very expensive compared to other properties and not especially close to the fort. For us it was about location as this was the start of the race, and for... More

We visited this hotel in december. First impression was very nice as the hotel looks like a palace from outside. But as they say, don't count on the first impression :) The hotel was virtually empty, and the rooms even though large were dated and not clean. Bathrooms were very dirty and bathtub in particular was very bad. On the... More

Nice to experience old heritage property from jaisalmer royal family..even you must have witnessed the same property in color serial "Rang Rassiya" Very spacious rooms but old & not-much-maintained property, so expect some cement or white wash smell in rooms Breakfast is good. In January 2014 the whole hotel (except for our 3 rooms) was booked for a marriage party. It seems that all the staff was busy with the party and didn't care about the other guests (us). The rooms are large but dated. Every bathroom has a sticker, asking to preserve the scares resources in this desert area (water). But when... More
