Visited this place when it was called Royal Desert Safari (the name has changed since then as per info below). Best part was this resort is located closest to the dunes. Tents were really good and clean. Food though was not upto my taste not much option for vegetarians but that day there were very less occupancy in the resort.... More

We stayed at the Royal Desert Camp on New Year's Eve, and enjoyed memories of a lifetime. Rode camels in the desert where we watched the sun set on the last day of the year, then enjoyed a fun-filled night by the fire with great entertainment. The beautiful tent made turned the very cold, windy night into a fun family-huddled... More

The USP of this camp is its location. It is just opposite to the sand dunes. It is a big camp with nice tents. The cultural program in the evening was good though the cultural program later turned into Bollywood music!! Snacks are served in the evening which was very good. Camel safari is also included in the package. Anyway,... More

My experience to stay in Royal Desert Camp was very fantastic. All the arrangements are very good and professionally. All staff are very well behaved, special B M Sing Jee, who is a very nice person and very cooperative. The main thing is the location of the camp, which is just opposite of the Sam Sand Dunes. Food was very... More

I stepped in with the thrill of staying in a desert, to be specific along with sand dunes; and other experiences followed. There are 20+ desert camps at Sam sand dunes and it was a task narrowing down on one, anyhow, I stumbled upon this one and finalized it. I checked in around 1700 hrs and after checking the room,... DoNOT book it through clearTrip! We had some problems while checking out and personally we felt the staff were a bit rude to us in the way they spoke. This incident apart, the camp was awesome and located right opposite to the Sam sand dunes. After their traditional welcome (nothing more than a lady placing some red tilak on your... More

We stayed on the night of 31st Dec'13 so camp charged us extra for the evening programme & food. Service was good. We booked directly with camp owner so saved money which agent would have taken. Both Camp & us were benefited as we did direct booking. Don't have high expectation of the tent. Its so-so. They provided complimentary ride,... More

One must go with an open mind to such off beat experiences. Shpuld not expect TV, heater and tge otger standard hotel features. It is one of the lower levels of ' roughing it out '. Coming to the royal desert camp exoerience I can say it was not disappointing at all. The check in was handled pretty well by... More
