Definitely the best in Jaisalmer in this price bracket. Great ambience, especially during evenings, entertainment, lovely food and beverages. We had a great time here, actually in the middle of nowhere. Prithvi and the entire team rocks. What hospitality! We will meet again.

My wife and I arrived at Damodra Desert Camp by car, the beaten track from the main road to the camp was just about drivable. Prithvi had provided us with accurate directions to get to the camp. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Prithvi and Pam (a British volunteer). We were shown to our room, which was... More

This is a very nice place to get a experience of the desert. We booked a full day package with these people and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were promptly picked up at railway station and we got a stop-gap accommodation at Hotel Sohan Deep, which is located within Jaisalmer city. The rooms at Hotel Sohan Deep were very untidy... More

We went here in October. It was one of my most memorable trips. We were picked up from the station and taken to a hotel to freshen up and have lunch. And then the jeep safari began. The driver was friendly, the co-travelers were nice. The desert was beautiful. We stopped at the oasis and a village and the khaba... More

We traveled with our parents, both retired, and we are glad we booked Damodra. It was a very comfortable stay, with personalized Rajasthani food, folk music and dance, and extremely warm hospitality. The tents are extremely clean, with running warm water. Will definitely stay here whenever we travel to Jaisalmer next.

We booked this camp after seeing review on Tripadvisor. Camps were clean and well maintained. All re staff were very helpful and always took care. Coin was prepared to our preference as we had asked for Rajasthani cuisines. Rajasthani folk singers and dancers were really good and kept us entertaining as long as we wanted. Staff patiently waited for us... More

I visited Jaisalmer with my family for two days and one night and I must say the experience was a wonderful one. Mr Prithvi was a great host and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were unlucky only with respect to the driver assigned to us, who was hurrying us up everywhere and was misleading at times. We also... More

I am writing this review after 4 months but it is something I should not miss. The experience at Jaiselmer is nothing but this camp and its people. Prithviji, his cousin (sorry I forgot the name), Raghu (who takes care of the kitchen), and the driver of our jeep, and all the people are amazing. From my off board at... More

The highlight of our 2400 km road trip in Rajasthan. Moved as we all were by all of Rajasthan- the stories of bravery, the colorful and warm people, the mesmerizing desert-scape, the intimidating forts, the delicious food, it was Damodara Desert Camps that stands out for bringing the whole desert experience together. The camp setup is wonderful- away from the... More
