Booked for Mom-Dad considering that they'll have a heritage experience, but they had a pathetic experience, ACs not working efficiently in such hot days, Not enough staff to listen to customers, hardly 1-2 guys, don't know how to talk, no manager to over look them. don't even think of eating inside, you'll waste your money and mood. What they found... More

Being an avid traveler and consumed by wanderlust I could say that I have seen my fair share of hotels and resorts. On one such tour of mine to Bikaner I came across a wonderful hotel, Hotel Desert Winds, it was beautiful, serene, economical and unlike the many I have stayed in before. The hotel offered me delicious and freshly... More

For an official tour I had visited Bikaner and decided to stay at Desert Winds again . I must say the Hotel believes in maintaining its quality and decorum . I stayed in Room no. 4 on the ground floor this time. It is next to their Restaurant so I got very quick room service for Tea and breakfast. The... More

Looking at the hotel , nobody would have ever imagined , what kind of fraud would they do. They told us some different tarrif and asked double from us. On complaining , the owner didn't even hear try to help. With such poor service and hospitality. Don't get impressed by seeing the property , cz what happens later is more... More

Dear Sir Regarding the fraud as mentioned by you,we would like to clarify that the hotel is running since 22 years & owned by a Retd. Tourism Director .The misunderstanding was from your part as the manager mentioned you the tariff per room per day of which you agreed upon & later at the time of check out you confused... More

Self driving and not wanting to tackle inner Bikaner’s narrow congested streets I skirted around the edge of town looking for a hotel and came across Desert Winds on a quiet street opposite the city’s major sports stadium which includes a disused velodrome now used as a makeshift cricket ground for local youths (what spare tract of ground in India... Convenient to locate and near to the Junagadh Fort, this hotel owned by a retired RTDC official, offered comfortable stay in a quiet and clean environment within a city that otherwise can be chaotic. The room was spacious with period furnishing and sleep quality good. Washroom again was large and clean. Food at the annexed restaurant tasted good but the... More

We stopped here for a night enroute Jaisalmer on the recommendation of a birder acquaintance. It lived up to his description. It is walking distance from the impressive Junagarh fort and is situated in a quiet part of the city. The rooms don't offer any views as such, but are clean, spacious and economic (as are the bathrooms). It also... More
