Built between 1902 and 1926, its architecture is a mixed Rajput style with traces of the European Renaissance. The hotel is one part of the palace and the other part was turned into a museum. The rooms are decorated with period furniture and much has been preserved since its construction. There are some internal courtyards and a beautiful, large indoor... More

Part of this palace that was once the residence of the Maharaja of Bikaner and where still live the descendants of the ruler, was converted into a hotel. The building is beautiful, with period furniture and lots of pictures, interesting pieces and even the royal family hunting trophies scattered around the property. The hotel however, has decadent aspect. There is... More

I was head over heels when i decided this place "The Palace" as our hotel for a day, but was not that elated when we went in and actually stayed there, it shouldn't be boasted as a 5 star. Maybe i should tell its a 5-star hotel for foreigners cos that's what i saw there!! High importance to them their... More

I must start with the imagination of high-hopes when i chose this hotel for my stay ( 29-30 Jan 2015) in Bikaner. The entrance to the hotel is majestic but all the lawns are now used as marriage gardens and it represent like a marker place/fish market. 1.I was shocked to learn that there is no wallet parking in the... Rooms were awful. Cold no heat provided. No pressure in shower, hot water just dribbled out, so couldn't shower. Holes in tub so couldn't run a bath. No windows to the outside just opened into hallways. Walls are paper thin so you can hear every thing. It was noisy with workmen scraping outside, also our room was by an interior... More

This beautiful building has been denigrated by the hotel that now occupies it. There are many faults. The first room had a toilet that did nit function and the lights were faulty. When moved the shower mostly wet the floor as the tap was leaking so water did not get to the shower. The staff walk around at 0400 talking... More

This is an impressive palace , befitting the family who own it. A great place to explore, with its many corridors, balconies and family memorabilia. However, as a hotel it falls short of a well preserved and managed property. The whole place has a run down feel to it -- albeit in a grand sense -- and with some investment... More

Nice property, but falls short of expectations. The property is an actual palace, and the labyrinth like layout may result in your getting lost.... not that it is such a bad thing, good to take a walk down any of the corridors with lots of family pictures of Maharaja Karni Singh. The rooms are huge, with like-sized bathrooms. But, the... More

Stayed on 12th January. First impressions was large with good architecture and well laid out gardens. Rooms were huge with very high ceilings., very cold with inadequate heating. Dinner was just ok probably because of a lack of guests. Breakfast was acceptable. The Hotel is like a mausoleum with no atmosphere. Rooms would be fine in warm weather.
