The Lallgarh is the "smaller" of two royal palaces in Bikaner which are sited back-to-back. Smaller however is not quite the right phrase as this large palace with marble-floored corridors, and large elegant rooms and public areas is large, cool and looks like a page out of history. The image is complete if you wander around the corner through the... More

On a tour of Rajistan through Indus Travel of Richmond, B.C. Canada and Hi Tours of India. Lallgarh Palace, looked like a palace from the outside and was indeed an actual palace with a resident princess and family in residence at the back of the property and had turned the front part into commercial accommodations. The entrance/lobby looked average, restaurant... More

This is a Maharaja's Palace and looks the part, the building is large and impressive and the gardens also do it justice. Our room was just OK (some people in our group had very large rooms ours was just average). Because it's converted into a hotel some of the rooms sub divided so for example our room had a door... Good to learn about the marharaja and his wonderful palace. Spa and pool good. Tea on the lawn enjoyable. Waiter very keen to take money there and then but not so keen to give any change even though would have tipped him! Food and general restaurant area bit tired and in need of a spruce up.

Lallgarh Palace is very impressive when you first come to see it, but once you walk the long and beautiful corridors of the place, you tend to feel a little spooky and your thoughts travel to times of Maharajas and Maharanees. It must have been much more jolly at that times, now the hotel feels naked and empty. The rooms... More

My wife and I recently stayed for two nights in early January 2014,at the Lallgarh Palace in Bikaner and found the accommodation to be disappointing. The site itself is magnificent, with a grand, although old, building and nicely laid out gardens complete with resident peacocks. The reception was efficient and the room we were allocated (206) was large and spacious... More

Old palace built in 1920's with a definite colonial raj favour . Beautiful outside with large courtyards and breezy corridors. The rooms are huge with huge living areas and dinning rooms - the bedrooms are massive with marble floors. Lovely in the hot weather but a bit chilly when we stayed in middle of cold snap however they had radiators... More
