This is an impressive palace , befitting the family who own it. A great place to explore, with its many corridors, balconies and family memorabilia. However, as a hotel it falls short of a well preserved and managed property. The whole place has a run down feel to it -- albeit in a grand sense -- and with some investment... More

Nice property, but falls short of expectations. The property is an actual palace, and the labyrinth like layout may result in your getting lost.... not that it is such a bad thing, good to take a walk down any of the corridors with lots of family pictures of Maharaja Karni Singh. The rooms are huge, with like-sized bathrooms. But, the... More

Stayed on 12th January. First impressions was large with good architecture and well laid out gardens. Rooms were huge with very high ceilings., very cold with inadequate heating. Dinner was just ok probably because of a lack of guests. Breakfast was acceptable. The Hotel is like a mausoleum with no atmosphere. Rooms would be fine in warm weather.

Far cry from pictures put by management! There are 2 hotels in same compound Laxmi Niwas & Lallgarh Palace which is at best described as poorer cousin of the two. The rooms are different from each other in many ways...with different types of mattresses and bed linen, not exactly a pleasant situation.... The rooms can be stuffy and overall the... More

Its was amazingly memorable!! Firstly,The Management had upgraded our room which was huge and lovely, secondly, they arranged a manager among them to show us the whole palace! The walls have pictures of the royal family which helped us to connect to them easily, the food was Good, and the whole palace was filled with peace hard to find in the cities!!... More

Stayed here on a tour. I found it a very comfortable place. My room was lovely, dinner was very good, the pool was lovely and clean and the grounds were beautiful. What more could you want? I am genuinely surprised by some of the bad reviews. I wished I had been able to stay here longer.

The hotel had many positives but it was the negatives that detracted from our stay. There are no English channels, only one power point in a difficult location, hair dryer didn't work and my husband had to do some running repairs on the wash basin to allow the water to drain away. While we can cope with these small inconveniences,... More

We stayed here for one night while touring Rajahstan and wanted to stay at historic places. This si certainly one of them and we were pleased to be there. We stayed in the smaller complex on the grounds- there is a higher level part of the palace but our area was very appropriate. The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms renovated... More

A long road winds up from the main gate across open ground for what seems like a mile or more to the Reception building. The guest rooms are a separate building at the far end of the palace, next to a swimming pool and a pavilion where we ate our meals. Late October was a perfect time of year to... More

We had a short family trip to Bikaner..a quick search narrowed don the options considerably, to Lallgarh and Laxmi Niwas. Room bookings were done online, and then we spoke to the hotel Lallgarh guys about minor adjustments. First, the positives: 1. Beautiful, imposing structure- A very well maintained Hotel, both externally and internally. Its the way palaces should look and... More
