The stay was good but with certain difficulties. No vegetarian good options. Moreover the fishes were displayed just infront so people who are pure veggie...face a problem. I was told for cottage with sea facing but at the last the staff they are not. The staff was rude. I had booked two rooms and they were giving it separately. When I... More

We are very sorry to report that we were the victims of a fraudulent experience at this otherwise acceptable accommodation. We would therefore advise potential guests to reconsider their stay here, and to look to one of the other reputable establishments in Varkala.

We recently stayed at Puthooram but left early. The cottages are grubby, and the sheets they provide are yellow stained with rust and have holes in them. To save money they don't provide a top sheet you have to ask for it - in all my years of travelling and hoteling this is a first. We left early as we... More

Many different rooms in this hotel. The ones near the cliffs are not too bad. They are small, dark, not well isolated if your neighbour is noisy. Very clean however; garden is nice but there is no real private place outside of your bungalow. Prices are a little bit too high as you can find better deal in Varkala at... More

Puthooram is a nice resort with small, well kept huts on Varkala's north cliff. The rooms are nicely decorated and come with A/C, ceiling fan, mosquito net and a small bathroom with hot water (not that you'll need it). The only downside is that the wall to the adjoining room is thin, so you can hear what your neighbour is... More

I went on a holiday to Kerala with a group of friends! Puthooram was recommended to me by my other friends who had previously stayed there when visiting Kerala. I got to Puthooram and everyone was very welcoming and so polite. The resort is maintained very well, with a garden that looks so beautiful. The rooms are clean and there... More
