Let me start like this ? I had actually been booked at another guesthouse with very similar name but was taken here by mistake BUT really glad I decided to stay here instead ,,,, It's clean , quiet , and has great little touches that make it the ONLY choice I say , to stay in Varkala you have a... Nice big spotless rooms that feel like home, the cleanest we've been to in India. The place is a home of a lovely French family who made us feel welcome right away and helped with whatever we needed. Very quiet but still close to the restaurants and bars on the North Cliff. Worth the price!

Perfect positioning next the the North Cliff and the Tibetan Market. The owner is very friendly, relaxed and attentive - makes you feel right at home and provides a mobile outside of the room so you can call her if you have any questions etc, which is very useful and a nice touch. Design and structure of the room one... More

A quiet and calm place to stay, only 5 minutes walk from the main strip/beach. We chose one of the smaller double rooms but it was bigger than most places we've stayed in India: light and airy with a large (and spotless) bathroom, big bed and tasteful artwork on the walls. There was also a small terrace outside the room... More

Our arrival at Mango Villa was like coming home! Vincaine greeted us by name and made us feel very welcome! Our room was an upstairs AC room and was immaculately clean. Beautiful personal touches, like fresh flowers, lamps and mirrors. Location was brilliant, behind the markets so away form the noise but a very short stroll to the Cliff top... More

I stayed at Mango Villa for 3 nights when I arrived in Varkala. This is a lovely guest house just behind the Tibetan Market set in lovely gardens with immaculately clean rooms and bathrooms with hot (solar powered) water! Tastefully decorated rooms with little touches like daily fresh flowers on your veranda and comfortable chairs make this place stand out... More

Vincaine is lovely and a great hostess. Rooms are very big with a balcony and kept spotlessly clean. A few minutes walk from the beach, but far enough back to get some peace and quiet. Although breakfast isn't provided, the juice shack (which is also amazing) is very close and Vincaine is happy to recommend restaurants.

We stayed here for two weeks at the start of November 2014, good rate for the time of year although the cliff was quiet. We were looked after by Vivienne and Thomas from the moment we arrived. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. We requested clean sheets and towels every three days and only had to ask once.... More

The first thing that strikes you about this place is that it is immaculate. Extremely difficult to find dust anywhere. But more than anything is the attention to detail. A fresh flower on the balcony every morning for each room. Every info card neatly arranged on the table. And overall the warmth of the owner Vinciane, a Belgian lady is... More

Mango Villa is the guesthouse with that certain something. You can see that a lot of love has been put into the place. Much attention is payed to details such as daily fresh flowers everywhere or a phone with whom you can call the owner if she's not around. The owner itself gives the Mango Villa that homely, hospitable character... More
