We stayed for 5 nights at Bohemian Masala and loved every minute, it's probably one of our favourite places we stayed at in 2 months in Southern India. The resort is set back from the main Varkaka drag which was great...you really felt like you we're in an exclusive place away from the crowds. We stayed in a Cosmic cottage... More

Stumbled across this accommodation as unhappy with place we were staying. As it was drawing to the close of season, it was very quiet and the restaurant wasn't open, but we stayed in a very cute little cabin, with a comfortable bed and quite important for us, a mosquito net. Cold showers but we had become accustomed to that after... More

We traveled here in Feb 2013. There are 3 types of rooms, I stayed in the Universal room. I didn't have any particular problem with my room, but a friend who stayed in the Cosmic cottage had mice in her bathroom. This is India, and they don't believe in killing the mice, so they capture them and let them go.... More

I didn't stay at Bohemian Masala but I spent 2 weeks doing yoga there with Vasudev and can vouch that it's in a beautiful, peaceful setting surrounded by jungle. Also they do a great set indian breakfast & lunch which is yummy & healthy! As for the yoga, I did the beginners course (I think it was 2500rupees for 10... More

With the intention of staying here only 3 nights, we decided to stay for 2 more. If it would have been possible, we would have stayed even longer... why... you should go and discover it yourself... the garden, the smiles on the faces of the staff, the charming cottages, the warm water cottage, the location, the hang mats, the music,... We loved our stay at Bohemian Masala. Great room, beautiful garden, nice restaurant with great healthy breakfast, good location. Yoga class is fantastic, great teacher. A great place to start our holiday in Kerala! We stayed here for 5 nights, which was the right amount of time for us: enough to fully relax, and long enough to have a good... More

I have been here for over 2 years 3 trips and this place has just always been better than the last time. You have to be there to experience it. Not just that the place is done up so well, its also the gentle and nice people who work there that makes the difference. Excellent place for some good Ayurvedic... More

Wow!!! This is a fantastic resort at the cliff in Varkala. Supernice cottages build according to vashtu shastu. I loved the interior and since I am interiordesigner myself I am a bit picky. The garden is so beautiful and relaxing with lots of hammocs to chill out in. As soon as you enter this place you can feel their concept... More

Great atmosfere, beautifull decorated cottages, very friendly and serviceminded staff, great kitchen with organic food from there own garden. We travelled India for 2 months and after a lot of crappy accomodations, this really felt like coming home. We had a memorable and lovely stay here! Highly recomended for everyone who values good taste. Inge and Ruud, Amsterdam , Holland

Vasu runs an excellent yoga school. There are alot of yoga schools to choose from in varkala but if you are looking for a highly skilled friendly teacher in a lovely yoga shala then chose this one. The classes are great value and they have yoga mats you can borrow
