My experience at the hotel was wonderful. The truth is that I had no expectations, I just wanted to rest, wanted me to take care and forget about my life for a month. I found a beautiful place! With a beautiful garden with sea views every morning when I got up I was leaning my life and energy. All hotel... More

Pre-booked this place for the end of our trip around Kerala as place to unwind by the beach. The weather let us down a bit but the hotel did not disappoint. Beautiful location by the edge of the south cliff. Maybe sea views from rooms is stretching it but don't think you could be better placed in Varkala. For those... More

We booked (and paid!!!) this hotel for three nights, but practically 'ran' away after about 20 hours. We were so very disappointed!!! The whole idea and reason for choosing this hotel was, that it spoke of a loft with balcony and sea views. We arrived at the hotel after quite a rough taxi ride of 5 hours at 8 in... More

Very good hotel with extremely helpful staff. The buffet breakfat was first class as were the lunches/dinners we had here.Beautiful beach at the bottom of cliff (about 190 steps). You can walk to the main Varkala beach in one direction and a fishing village in the other. This hotel is on south cliff and is much quieter than the north cliff... More

We booked a loft room with no a/c - by the time we arrived at Oceano we knew this was going to be a nightmare, so we requested a/c and they moved us to the premises 200m away that is still being built (though not at present so not noisy). The room here was stunning with the best view you... More

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights and based on reviews we read we paid extra for a loft room. BIG mistake, these rooms are made of wood, have no air con and so it is like being in a sauna. The only positive was thtey had a large balcony with great views. After struggling for 4 nights we... More

The hotel has two premises: the main one where administration, dining area and Ayurvedic treatments take place and another about 1/2km away with a swimming pool. Our room, located further away, was simply blissful: very quiet, beautiful view of the sea, nicely furnished. Breakfast was a nice surprise and it usually consisted of fresh fruit, yoghurt, omelet, and several Keralan... More

This hotel is very good in terms of "stay at one place rest". It combines decent facilities with well maintained and nice territory to relax, a kind of isolated beach, Ayurvedic spa, and a not bad restaurant. The stuff is very polite, well trained and helpful. They also speak English well. If you fill a kind of fed up staying... More

Stayed in loft 302, delightful clean room. superb bathroom with balcony looking onto Indian ocean - excellent wifi in this room too. Between 12-3 room was like an oven no a/c it was unbearable. It was the perfect ending to a Keralan holiday. The hotel caters for Ayurvedic aficionados but doesn't exclude us ordinary folk! Our loft room was fabulous and with a well designed mosquito net and many open windows we were able to listen to the waves at night. The beach (176 steps down!) is quiet, clean and great for eagle watching.... More
