After a long drive, through non-de scrip places you start passing by beautiful Green tea hills. Finally you arrive to Thekkady and turn down a small road and then into Spice Village. The moment you arrive you're welcomed with a towel to wash the dust off your face. Shown to your room, which is through beautiful gardens and thatched buildings... More

I can take Eco friendly up to certain point only! Room is nice, but quite a walk from the reception. The signs that lead you to the room are very confusing. No AC in the rooms and no TV. Too hot for a fan only. The staff is friendly but slow! Food very pricey. The hotel offers a cooking class... More

Excellent and highly recommended hotel built in village style with elephant grass roofed cottages and single story public rooms set in natural surroundings. Friendly and efficient check-in. Rooms are large and well equipped with a nice verandah to sit out on. No air conditioning but effective fans, not sure how comfortable that would be in summer but it was comfortable... More

We loved the layout of this hotel with separate huts/rooms spread around the estate amidst a wide range of different plants covering all types of local trees and spices. If TV is important to you this would be a poor choice, but for many, like us, it provides a pleasant break from 24 hour news. And anyway there is internet... More

We ate at the restaurant by the bar with nice outdoor seating and a fire. Seating area is limited but we had no problem getting a table. We ordered the veg platter and beetroot patties. Food was good, and we were able to get a Kingfisher with dinner. Service was excellent.

Couldn't fault this hotel. The staff were welcoming, without being obtrusive. The setting was delightful and you were surrounded by wildlife, birds, butterflies and plants + some funny partridges that wondered around the place. Rooms were large and very high standard. Good to have the pool after a trek in the wildlife park. It's worth doing the vines tour of... More

This hotel has nice room full of nature flavor. Room decorations and furniture are mainly made by wood, and bedding and sofa cushions of pleasant color. The hotel ground is a big garden, and the bar and library rooms are educational. The only drawback is that when we checked in it was a raining day, and the hotel room seems... More

Excellent room & nice property. However, dinner very expensive at Rs 1400/- per person. The breakfast was superb. Stayed here for 1 night on Jan 4, 2016. Staff is very friendly. The property is very close to market.

Spent 2 nights here on our trip around southern India. Enjoyed the tour around the facilities on site (all environmentally conscious); great room and free in room wifi; took a boat ride to see local wildlife but frankly this didn't meet the hype before the trip - mainly a few birds, a boar and a deer; ignore the info talking...
