Myself and my husband popped in for lunch before going to the Tiger reserve. We both enjoyed a very delicious meal in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very kind, especially since we were not guests at the hotel. I even saw a monkey!

We arrived after a rather long drive from Trivandrum, but immediately found our haven in Spice Village. Our expectations were high, as we´d stayed at another CGH group place a few years ago, but we were not disappointed. Set in what is really a botanical garden, this is the ideal base from which to explore the Periyar reserve. Which we... More

Landed here after long drive from Munnar and what a blessing! Check in was a bit slow but may have been due to several guests arriving simultaneously. Rooms are bungalows, individual houses with ample room to spread out. Pool has unchlorinated water that was cool, so refreshing in the heat. Walking distance to shops. Hotel offers cooking classes, nature hikes,... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Loved the layout, food excellent. Really enjoyed having a pre dinner drink in the bar which has lots of old photos on the wall, interesting place! It was our silver wedding anniversary on the day we left but at breakfast that morning they presented us with a cake saying happy anniversary and jasmine wrapped in... More

We booked this place after reading splendid reviews about them on Tripadvisor and we were right. Although it Is located very near to the market area, still as soon as we enter the resort, there is total peace and quietness. The Check-In was very smooth and we were offered an assortment of herbal teas. The rooms are in Thatched Bungalows... More

We have just spent two nights here and it is a lovely resort. There doesn't seem to be many guests around here or in the area so we have had our choice of restaurants and sole use of the pool. The rooms are very comfortable and the gardens are lovely complete with resident guinea fowl and a troope of monkeys.... More

Loved the huge garden, the chicken walking around, the bar!!! (make sure you go there) and the tea station where you can get tea with fresh herbs. Located in a cute little town. Amazing food, one of the best meals I had in India. Thank you!

Didn't stay here but did have buffet dinner one evening. Nice bar as well. The buffet had lots of choice with freshly cooked fish, breads as well. Nice to try a variety of foods. Price was expensive for India but nice for a splash out.
