As soon as you take the left turn from a typical, South Indian hill station road to enter Spice Village, you are mesmerised and relieved by its simplicity (don’t read gaps in services and amenities – a refined understatement is what I mean), the green and serene environs and the warm and smiling staff. Spice Village is a beautiful, centrally-located... More

We had a wonderful stay. Excellent hospitality. Gels in for all age groups. We were six, including parents and children. Very close to earth, typical Kerala farmland environment, with tall bamboo and other forest trees keeping the place cool. The daily Yoga classes in an exclusive yoga centre covered by a canopy of trees is worth an experience. Food was excellent,... More

Family vacation for 5 days to Kerala. Spice Village was the best hotel out of 3 we stayed. Excellent service, food and serene beauty around the cottage. My daughter wanted to have Coconut Chamandi in a particular style. The chef came up to our table , I described the chutney and it was prepared exactly the same she desired. Breakfast... More

The first impressions I had of Spice Village was that it had a strong suggestion of being a kind of Ashram and indeed that grew over the three days I spent there. It is an eco-friendly hotel, I am not sure the word 'hotel quite fits the bills. The rooms are in very nice straw-covered cottages. They are clean, comfortable... More

My husband and I recently toured several areas in India and the Spice Village was a pleasant surprise as we did not expect it to be so comfortable. The grounds are lush and well kept. The cottages are extremely comfortable and spacious. The cottages have a spacious sitting area, room for all our our shopping purchases from Delhi and Jaipur... More

We had already had a great tour of half of south india, after a tiring journey by car,we reached the hotel safely, just at the outside, there were a big group of playful monkeys on the trees........pointing out to each other my children stood there fascinated by the sight,as we entered i noticed how nicely and selectively the guestroom had been decorated giving... Two nights is not enough. The little cottages are quaint. They aren't luxurious but are clean, comfortable & fit with the surroundings & ethos of the resort. We had an early departure to the Tiger Reserve & there were drinks & eats before we left. Breakfast was great - the best Dosas on our trip. And one dish with Syrian... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Spice Village and would have been happy to stay longer. It is really like a village with little houses scattered around the huge well maintained grounds. There are plenty of trees and flowers, it feels like a botanical garden. The hotel is very eco conscious, it was great to see. The food at the... More

I really admire this place for the services they offer for their guests. Every thing in the room was well placed and they have taken care the very minute details. I.e. in our group there was one grown up teen which need to take extra bed..not only they provide the good quality bed but they have provided the extra water... More

This property is beautiful. The location is very good. The restaurant was good. I love the concept that the property is a village. We were leaving very early in the morning and the staff made sure that although breakfast would not be served for a few hours - they prepared a light breakfast for us.
