We stayed there for three nights on January 2012. This a special place to stay. It is a big well maintained house runned by Claus and his wife, with a tropical garden, located outside of the noisy main streets of Kummily in a quite neighborhood. The garden is something like a small plantation. They have pepper, coffee, papaya, jackfruits, passion... More

We had 2 days in Kumily and stayed at Claus and Omana's place (on a family member's recommendation). First rate place: great atmosphere, magnificent garden, very clean and comfortable rooms, tasty verandah out the front of one of our rooms, a fabulous roof top space (with a wee tower section) and that utterly rare thing for India - safe, delicious... Stayed at Claus Garden for 4 nights - a bit long for the limited number of attractions in and around Kumily. Omana had well arranged a taxi to pick us up from Kumarakom. She also had suggestions for a number of activities and trips what was very helpful. Highlight of the good service was the breakfast with home-made bread, eggs... More

Placed in a peaceful location, far from the congested roads of the small city, this guest house provides all what you need for a nice stay. The owners, a Indo-German couple, are friendly and helpful in organizing your activities in the park. If you want to book, please note that breakfast are rated separately because if you join an early... More

Now, the third time I stood in this Guest-House, I found the same quality as before. A really quite place in a paradies-garden with clean and very beautiful rooms, a great breakfast and a very friendly owner-family.

We booked 2 nights at this homestay. We came 4 adults and 3 children. Due to Tripadvisor reviews we had great expectations. At start it looked very nice. Nice house with a garden around. Very soon we realized why the price was so low. The shower was very basic, no A/C, no toilet paper. One shower head was broken. Full... More

We are very sad that we could not reach the high expectations of this guest freom Israel. Hot water was there until evening, but it was a rainy day and so the guest had to wait until the sun comes out again the next day. Toilett paper was given on arrival and the showerhead was repaired immidiately. But we do... More

The Good: - Very beautiful and well kept house. - Large clean rooms. - Claus and his wife are very nice and helpful with organizing activities and visits. They suggested we see a Kalaripayattu fight and take a local cooking class, both were wonderful experiences. - Great garden with lots of amazing flowers. - Full breakfast in the mornings. The...
