Meena was a really great host to us, giving us a lot of local knowledge about Thekkady and insights about life in India. Always helpful and giving us advice where to go. The meals were the best we had during our trip so far, and was great to learn some cooking skills while watching meena cook and explain the recipes.... More

I wanted a cooking class that wasn't one of the commercial ones which are more of a cooking show than a class. I decided correct and went with Meena. Her extraordinary skill with food showed and she originally cooked by her mom which I always appreciate since it brings down family recipes generation after generation and she also did something... Meena is an amazing host, she spent a lot of time showing us around and taking us places we would never have got a chance to see. The food is easily some of best we had in India. We had some very memorable trips during our few days there, a Safari, wild elephants and a mad bus ride to Tamil... More

The place is serene, comfortable and clean. A gem of a retreat tucked away from the hustle and bustle but when you need to access shopping or a trip to the town , you're stones throw. Meena is an excellent host and even greater cook. It really felt like a home away from home.

This has to be one of the more beautiful places in the world, and Meena will make sure you get the most out of your stay. Lovely homestay set in beautiful lush gardens. The highlights here, apart from the gorgeous setting, are Meena's cooking (amazing), conversation (highly engaging) and her knowledge of local attractions and amenities. If you do stay... More

We spend three nights in this tidy and well kept home stay. Meena offers fabulous meals and she may even be willing to teach you some of the secrets behind the taste. So this is a visit where you may bring home more than lasting memories to your life ... that of adding new flavors and dishes in your own... More

My husband and I went to Kerala on our honeymoon in December 2012 and Villa Prakriti was one of the only homestays we visited. We absolutely loved it. Meena is a brilliant hostess, who instantly made us feel welcome and at home. She is full of life and so knowledgable, not just about the local area but India as a... More

We visited Meena's homestay as part of a culinary tour around Kerala. Not only is Meena herself one of the most welcoming, interesting, vibrant people we met on our trip, she is a fabulous and knowledgeable cook. You won't want to eat anywhere else! We had a fascinating cooking lesson at every meal, in which we learned about food from... More

The best part about staying at Villa Prakriti is Meena and her food... I was on a honeymoon trip to Kerala and after reading lot of about Meena's cooking; I decided to stay at Villa Prakriti. I am glad that I stayed there. Meena is really an amazing hostess who makes you feel at home within no time. She not... More
