Stayed here 4 nights.Wonderful location if you want peace and quiet. Take a stroll down the lane that continues inland from the property and meet the locals doing their daily tasks on and off the water. There is a small eatery 400m down the lane where we had one meal as a change. Food on site v good. Lovely to sit... More

I ended up booking a last minute stay at Cruise N Lakes for one night. Having already spent a few nights in different places in the backwaters, this was a different and most peaceful way to see the area. It's very secluded in a little village and is therefore quiet and peaceful. It sits just next to the largest lake... More

Sitting on the verandah watching the houseboats gliding by was a treat, the location right on the water is a win. The rooms are a bit basic for the price but for me the ambiance was everything. It's down a rough track and away from other shops and restaurants, so is more a peaceful place to chill, if that's your... More

We 2 families stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms was average and look like a middle class family house of Kerala. The lake view from the property is good and its location is excellent. The food made according to our taste is very good especially the fish dishes. The service of the staff and the supervision of the owner... More

We were too hasty in choosing to stay at this place, based on its ranking on this site and in Lonely Planet, but we should have looked at how old some of the reviews on here are as it falls far short of expectations, in terms of accommodation and welcome. We arrived in Kottayam when there was a taxi driver... More

We had a wonderful time with my daughter enjoying very much - the thread swing and some fishing, the approach road is a very narrow one giving a little panic but once you reach the place it was ultimate. We had a good view of the backwaters the end point where-in you can see the house boats pass by. As... More

My experience with family at Cruise'N Lake was obviously an unforgettable experience. Though the approach road to the resort created certain anxiety during the trip, the experience at Cruise'N Lake changed all that. The sincerity shown and personal attention paid by Mr. Jose, not only to us, but all the guests while we were there was indeed touching and made... More

Just come out of your room and walk 5 steps and there is backwaters. The place is clean, homely and is great Value for money. The owner of the place - Mr Jose was very helpful and arranged the sight seeing trips for us. Reasons for not marking the experience as excellent are- The food was great but we didn't... More
