The Bungalow Heritage Homestay was a great experience and a perfect way to end our travels in India. Neema and her family were very welcoming to us and ensured we had an enjoyable stay. Prior to our trip, Neema assisted us in organising a houseboat tour and a trip to the tea plantation which guaranteed our week would be well... More

The place: A beautiful older home from the 1930s in immaculate condition is owned by a very gentle and hospitable couple - Neema and Frances and their lovely daughter Olivia. the ambience is quiet and welcoming. The Bungalow in Vypeen is a pristine Kerala home from the 1930’s. The rooms are very clean. The decor is tasteful. The food is... More

Location - away from Fort Cochin, a short-walk from the ferry terminal, close to the Chinese fishing nets on Vypeen (visit for a gentler, more-relaxed watch of how it's done). Easy to get from here to Ernakulam, Mattancherry, Fort Cochin and Willingdon Island. Building - beautiful house full of interesting objects. Hosts - Neema and Prasad are great. Talkative, informative... More

We spent our first three nights in India at the Bungalow and we instantly felt very welcome because of the friendly attentiveness of our hosts! As others have said it is easy to get around with the ferry as long as you don't want to stay out very late at night (9:30 pm is the last boat). The food is... More

Neema and her family have a jewel of a homestay. We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our 2 week trip to Kerala. I cannot say eneough good things about our experience. The accomodations are immaculate. The food is amazing. Most importantly, our hosts were sincere, kind, helpful, and always were looking after our best interests and anticipating our... More

Neema and Prasad were wonderful hosts, and helped make our visit to Ft. Cochin and Mattancherry very pleasant and worry free. The Bungalow's within a 5 min walk to the Ft. Cochin ferry. Some highlights of our stay included (1) very clean and welcoming accommodations, (2) a cooking course for my partner and me led by Neema (INR 1000) and... More

We have just spent a wonderful Christmas with Neema and her generous and hospitable family. We even received Christmas presents from them. There historical house was beautifully decorated and Neema's cooking is varied enough to tempt any palette . Neema went beyond being a perfect host and organised our whole trip for us impeccably and checked up to make sure... More

It was lovely to feel part of Neema and Prasad's kind and interesting family even though there were six of us from three generations and it was a brief visit. Neema certainly acted like a most caring "Mum" to us all, despite being half our age! Olivia's dancing demonstration was spell binding and it was great to talk to Prasad... More

We arrived at the Bungalow Heritage Homestay on my birthday, and I was touched that Neema had bought me flowers and a gift. This is typical of her kindness and attention to detail. The tour of the beautiful old house is fascinating, and she could not have been more helpful in arranging train tickets, airport transfers, and taxis. We were... More
