Very simple but spotless rooms, relaxing terrace, more like a B&B than a family homestay, as we only met 3 men. Far from 'luxury' but the owners could not have been more welcoming, friendly and obliging and offered plenty of advice without being "hard-sell".

We arrived without a booking, but luckily there was room for us. The room was clean and quite with a clean bathroom, with a wonderful hot shower. Breakfast is up on the roof terrance and is freshly cooked and delicious with a good selection. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful. Always cheerful and help, even... More

We stayed here for 2 nights recently and were extremely impressed. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was the best of all the guesthouses we stayed at in South India. The rooftop dining area is a really nice bonus, it was a great place to go and relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff, specially Ajish, was amazing.... More

Very clean rooms and bathroom, helpful staff (booked taxis for us and let us check in at 4 am), and great location. And nice, easy place to stay in Cochin, you can't ask for much more!

The staff who run this homestay are so so helpful with helping you plan your stay both in Kochi, and your trip beyond. The rooms are clean, spacious, light and it's excellent to have free wifi throughout. The breakfasts, included in the room price, are delicious and eaten in a lovely cool roof-top patio. And the manager is ready to... More

Fortshore is a nice homestay. Booked through yatra.com and got a good deal. Very clean and not far from the fishing nets at Fort Kochi, about 10 mins walk. Good choice of breakfast (included in the price) Indian/continental served on the roof top terrace restaurant. Child friendly, my son was sick and the manager arranged for a doctor promptly. Would... What a great find. The guys running this place are really smashing chaps (they've taken over from Mr Bashir) - they couldn't do enough to help, even offering to lend us money to go to the doctor (we had an emergency and our wallet was empty). The rooms are simple and plain, but the bathroom has perhaps India's strongest power... More
