We stayed in Vasco House for three days in February 2012.We found it an Ideal location to see Fort Cochin. For Rs.50 we had a three wheeler tour of Ft.Cochin with a running commentary of the sites we were passing!! Regarding the guesthouse itself we found it cosy having an old world charm. The rooms were with high ceilings of colonial times... More

George and his wife are absolute delights. Helpful, accommadating. We were picked up at the airport and arrived late. George kindly made us feel at home with some fruits and tea. We stayed for 6 nights. The rooms are huge, with a private sitting area, mosquito nets for the beds. We still sprayed ourselves when outside the net. Great corners if... More

We stayed at the Vasco homestay for 2 nights. I can certainly recommend this accommodation. The room was spacious and clean, 2 beds covered with mosquito netting. Vasco homestay is located in the heart of Cochin within walking distance of everything. The price, 1500R per room, breakfast included. The owners were very nice and helpful. This was the best accommodation... More

We stayed seven nights at this place (after two nights we decided to stay longer as we liked Fort Cochin as well as the homestay). The complimentary breakfast in the Vasco Café is great and offers a wide selection (fresh fruit juices, toast, fruits, indian dishes etc.). The rooms are big and have good beds as well as possibilities to... More

Francis church. the complimentary breakfast is served in the spotless adjacent cafe. the helpful owners also run an information and travel office.

George at Vascos provides wonderful hospitality. Vasco Da Gamas old home was comfortable and spotless. There are only a couple of rooms so it is a small hidden gem. It was entirely suitable for myself and my 11 year old son. The food available downstairs was homecooked and delicious! Thanks

We loved this place. Yes, you can find cheaper places, and you can certainly find more hotel like places. So if you're looking for an approximation of the Weston, go elsewhere. What you pay for here is the vastness of on old colonial chamber filled with interesting antiques, and the warmth of a little serogate family for your time in... More

We were very disappointed of the Vasco Home. It was the only time on our trip to India were we had to pay in advance. We had to cancel our booking due to changes of our schedule. The staff reacted very rude and even did not want to discuss with us. They didn't want to find a solution and finally... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Vasco Homestay for four days from the 28th December 2009 to New Years day and absolutely loved the place. Our room had three double beds in it - it was absolutely massive even thought there were only two os us. We stayed in appartment no.1. George, the owner runs a tourist information centre... More
