I am very surprised to see a negative review about this very special hotel. Our experience was nothing but a pleasure, The staff went the extra mile for us every day , giving us travel advice, helped us to change flights , send packages with DHL etc...They always had smiles on their faces. All the meals were fantastic after we... More

I loved this hotel so much! From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. We were shown to our room which was beautifully furnished and had good quality fittings & a comfy bed. Beautiful art pieces are scattered around the hotel, and both the rooms and public areas of the hotel have a peaceful air to... More

As with the vast majority of people staying here we stayed for one night on our way to somewhere else (backwaters) and as we arrived quite late we didn't spend too much time at the hotel. However the staff were reasonably welcoming although a little distracted with getting ready for evening dinner, our room was lovely and clean facing the... More

We started our travels to India staying at Old Harbour and my son hit the nail on the head when he said "I think we may have peaked too early" The rest of the holiday was lovely but OH was sublime and my next trip to India will have to start and end there. Where to begin.....every sense was satisfied,... More

I've been meaning to write this review for ages - if anyone deserves a glowing review, it's the Old Harbour. We stayed in several places in our travels around India but this was the best experience. Genuine, traditional hospitality, beautiful decor, simple yet perfectly artful rooms and warm, 'nothing is too much trouble' service. There's a lovely pool (watch out... More

I am delighted to have had this surprise opportunity to stay at Old Harbour Hotel. What a place! Polite and welcoming staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. A little surprise for the visitor is reserved right from the front door to the bathrooms. Loved the open air shower. Just brilliant, especially when it was raining. The food was tasty and served with... More

We recently stayed here while touring India. The hotel is in a great location, close to the fishing nets. The rooms are well appointed with many unique touches. Also, the dining area and pool grounds are lovely. One of my best memories of my India trip was swimming in the pool at night! Apart from that the service is outstanding.... More

We stayed for two nights in this property in the middle of our Kerala holiday. Our expectation was high since this property has been rated very highly by other travellers in TripAdvisor. We were certainly not disappointed at all. We had a lovely relaxing stay in this beautiful heritage property. We stayed at the Princess suite which was huge and... More

I stopped here for 2 nights on arrival in India and it simply could not have been better. It was exactly what my partner and I were looking for, a character driven, classy hotel that reflects its location, history and cultural roots. This is the antidote to bland 5 star chain hotels that pervade all corners of the globe. If... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the heart of ancient Fort Cochin, Kerala, a place that exudes history and culture, is the 'Old Harbour Hotel'. A 300 year- old building that has for long been a heritage monument of this town, now reopened as a boutique hotel. Built in the Dutch style of architecture with hints of Portuguese influences, it was the first hotel of old Cochin. Later it remained a residential home to employees of English Tea broking firms until it was left unused for a period of time. ... more   less
