Although the Koder is not as swanky as the Boatyard (or as expensive), it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and an interesting history through the centuries. Its location could not be more central - ideal for the churches, Chinese fishing nets and shops, the rooms are huge. Lovely live Indian music in the restaurant some evenings. Great staff on reception.

Stayed for 2 nights at this funny little hotel. Best thing about it was the position across the road fron Chinese fishing nets. It could best be described as quirky the room was massive strangely furnished no drawers at all, then a second very large room with no air con leading to a huge bathroom again with on air con.... Stayed two nights in this hotel. Room was on the first floor facing the road. Room was very big with a big bed. To get to the bathroom which was also large you have to walk through a dressing room, which again was large. Only downside is that there were no tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom. Breakfast was... More

No tea/coffee facilities this would have been lovely to have had in the room. Staff and service was great. Evening meal menu had lots... More

We stayed at the Koder House for two nights. We accidentally booked the wrong nights and realised a few weeks before our stay. The staff were very accommodating and were happy to change the reservation at no extra cost. They also upgraded us to a suite on the top floor on arrival. The house is beautiful and feels like you... In a city full if history this is a great stay, not just for the location, near all the major spots, but the important as a historical land mark. Rooms are fantastic, only with women floors above it gets very noisy if guests move on the floor above you. Request a top floor. Street noise was not am issue.

Koder House is the rather grand former home of the Koder family, that has now been converted to a boutique hotel in Fort Cochin and is very well situated for the local attractions. We had a first floor room looking out towards the sea, although the sea is obscured by trees in the park opposite. The room was certainly large,... More

The room is very nice and big, good AC and vents. the service is fantastic. Wifi is only in the common areas and goes on and off so you can't really trust it, but when it's on it's fast. The common area also have this weird smell that we had a hard time to get used to. The location is... More

We tried the chicken chettinadu and chicken labab dar both of them were bland. On the other hand the veg korma was average and the Kerala Fish Curry was tasty. Hence despite the variety of Northern and southern food offered, I would advice you to stick to the south Indian food, preferably fish related dishes. Meal for 4 including desert... More
