Kimansion lives up touts name - it is a beautiful old mansion, restored a few years ago. This lodging is a very quiet place with a minimum of fuss. Staff are friendly and attentive, the rooms are minimalist and clean, and breakfast is simple and sufficient. Great location right on the edge of the Old Fort Kochi, everything is walkable... More

The downstairs rooms were clean and spacious and two of them adjoin. (We did not look upstairs.) The young manager was very helpful and accommodating. Location was good, just across the road from a good restaurant and Fabindia, a 10 minute walk to the tourist centre and 3 minutes to the beach. I would stay there again.

Arrived after a long days travelling from Goa and we were shown a twin room which we did not book followed by the better, double room (which we did book) and told this would cost us more money. Eventually after some discussion - and proving that we had in fact booked the double room at the cheaper rate - we... More

We arrived before check in time but our host was very accommodating and allowed us to use the room. The room was very spacious and facilities were good. The location is very convenient with some great restaurants within close walking distance.

As the name said, it is indeed an old colonial mansion with tall heighted spacious rooms, wooden flooring (On the first floor). Location is better as it is just 20 mtrs .away from the well known retaurant Oceanos and about 300 mtrs. from a good indian restaurant called "dal roti". Since the top floor is under renovation, we were left... More

Just south of the Parade square this homestay is in a good location to explore Fort Cochin. Good value for money non-a/c rooms as well as up-grades available for AC which is definitely worth the its in the end of season when temperatures climb and humidity s very high Looked after by Harishi who put lots of effort to making... The Kimansion Inn is a very characterful historical mansion - very spacious with huge rooms, wooden floors, wooden furniture and tasteful decoration. The location is great: situated at a quiet corner just a 10 min walk from the main center of Fort Cochin. I really enjoyed my 3 night stay here and this was also because of the manager. A... More

Prebooked before we set off from UK and stayed three nights at start of our trip around Kerala. Had seen differing reviews but we found it fine. Lovely old building and huge wooden floored rooms, if looking a bit bare because of that. Facilities fine for what we were paying and clean.Breakfast fine with English or Indian options. We tended... We stayed at Kimansion for 3 days. It is a beautiful old house and the rooms are large and cool. The outer gate is kept locked but this was not a problem as there was always someone on hand to open up for us. We opted for the indian breakfast every day which was a great start to the day... More

If you're looking for a 4 or 5 star place, this is not it. Not the cleanest place either. There was one young man working there who was doing his best to manage all the roles...cook, cleaner, security, front desk, bell hop etc. He was a great guy and did his best, god bless him. If you're good with a... More
