We visited Fort Cochin for its colonial past. With that in mind we shortlisted a few heritage properties and decided on Brunton Boatyard. From the moment you step in, you are transported back in time. The rooms were clean and large with a large bathroom; all furnished in period furniture. Most rooms face the lake and provide a scenic view.... More

Beautiful smellies in bathroom - herbal soaps etc. Breakfast lovely - not buffet but cooked to order for you with lovely attentive staff. Small pool as warm as a bath! The watwerways are soooooooooo busy - couldn't believe the traffic - ferries, containers, houseboats,... More

Like stepping back in time. As you check into the Boatyard you notice the old 'pull fans' and are immediately transported to another time in history. All rooms have a view here no matter which floor you are on. Rooms are large with a really nice bathroom. Rooms - large king size bed which higher than normal. There is a... More

Kochin as a place gives us Dutch environment . So does the hotel Brunton boatyard . Excellent property. My stay was for a night , but I think that was really less for the activities they provide. Early morning they have a yoga session , if taken, for sure you feel rejuvenated . Sight seeing on the cruise was just... More

We stayed for one night at the Brunton Boat yard which was fabulous. This hotel was actually used as a boat yard which was later turned into a hotel by Cgh. The heritage effect was rubbed into the hotels decor. Old maps of India and cochin history were on the walls that led you to the armoury restaurant, which we... More

We arrived in Cochin at midnight and had to travelled almost 1.5 hours to Brunton Boatyard. I must say, it is worth the midnight flight from Kuala Lumpur and travelled on the road full of constructions. The staffs waited for us and we were sent to our room at 2am. The room with high bed and the overlooking the lake... More

This CGH Earth hotel has an old colonial feel and elegance, with a bang up-to-date idea of what passes for top class service. The rooms are clean and confortable and well maintained, as is the whole hotel. It is well placed in Fort Cochin for all the places of interest. It is right next to a bustling waterway, with the... This is, by far, my favourite hotel anywhere in the world! The hotel is, as the name suggests, a converted boatyard but ... this is no ordinary hotel! The rooms are beautiful, the inside of the hotel is beautiful, the views, (if you have a sea view), are frankly second to none and the service is excellent! The food is... More

I traveled and stayed here in August 2012 and It's definitely one of the best hotels that I have stayed in. Loved the beautiful architecture. Great service and staff. The sea facing rooms are wonderful and it's lovely seeing the lights at night and local fishermen boats in the mornings. Walking distance to all the sights in Fort Cochin. One... More
