This hotel is not cheap but is worth every penny. Set in a stunning location on the waterside. My sea view room had its own terrace and overlooked the busy waterway. It is a very busy waterway and the popular and frequent local ferry is right next door but they do provide earplugs in the bedroom for those who like... More

Cochin, like Pondicherry, allows visitors to wander and has some historic areas that are reasonably well preserved. Brunton Boatyard is ideally placed with the added advantage of being on the water. We did not visit any other hotels, but I cannot imagine there is one that is preferable. We had a lovely suite overlooking the water with a terrace. There... More

This hotel is expensive (£200 or more a night) but it's a marvellous experience. One of the CGH group of eco hotels it's extremely comfortable and in a fantastic location right on the waterfront in the heart of Kochi

Charming place with character. Great location if you like being near a hub of local activity. Easy walking to the Chinese fishing nets. Loved all the harbor activity and enjoyed being near the ferry. Didn't find it particularly noisy. Food quality was excellent for breakfasts. Very generous. Dinner was average in the main restaurant. Rooms have character. Good service.

We loved the location of Brunton Boatyard. Right beside the hustle and bustle of the local ferry service, the activity on the water was fun to watch. The view from our room was beautiful and the rooms were clean with pretty touches to make them feel romantic and seaside. You have easy access to all the amazing things Fort Cochin... More

We just spent 3 nights at Brunton Boatyard. Most of the other guests were older couples, many of them in large tour groups. Our young family with a toddler were definitely the exception. Soon the entire staff knew our daughter's name and greeted her enthusiastically every time they saw her. We really enjoyed our stay and the room, though there... More

Brunton Boatyard Hotel makes for a delightful place to stay in the lovely town of Cochin. The standards of the hotel are very high and the quality of the restaurants make it a pleasures to stay here. We were fortunate to have a room which overlooked the sea and I would recommend specifying this when booking.

We stayed here for two nights before going to Periyar and one night on our return. Excellent rooms and with a view of the estuary and an ever moving scenery of ships from containers to luxury cruise liners. The rooms are well equipped. We ate in the History restaurant twice and on the seafood terrace restaurant once. Both were excellent... More

We have been travelling to Kerala for many years , and Brunton's has ever been a highlight of our trips. Yes it is near to the ferry and management do provide ear plugs for your use, yes the channel is a constant movement of tankers, fishing boats cruise liners, and ferries, but such a vibrant setting , such a wonderful... Even though there was a slight mix-up with the rooms (probably not the fault of the hotel and much more likely to have been down to the agent, even though we were led to believe it was the other way around) the end result was more than its own reward. An oasis of clean, efficient and charm if a fairly... More
