Agree with other comments made about the prices. Although the room was great, the beach lovely and natural it did annoy me just how much it cost to eat anything at lunch or diner. This is down to the fact that you are isolated on the resort and they know it. Being more positive I have to say the attention... more

We stayed for three nights at the Marari Beach hotel in May 2008 in a garden pool villa. Everything about the hotel was fabulous, from the friendly staff who always have a smile and a hello, not just the front desk either, everyone around the complex seemed genuinely happy to be there, to the amazing garden pool villa in its... more

The good things: Stayed in a Pool villa which was special - really private pool area. The room was very insect and mossie free (I am a magnet) and clean and I didn't think the food was expensive for a hotel. The beach is a stunner - but only to look at! We had a nice meal at the fish... more

Following our visit in February 2007 I gave this a 5* review on tripadvisor. We returned this year and little had changed. My only criticisms would be a hefty price increase (around 20%) and the rounding up of 39.385 IR to the USD to 40 rather than rounding down to 39. This allowed the company to charge a further 1.5%.... more

Nice hotel but overpriced. Food is excellent. The rooms with private pool much nicer and more private, but are they worth the extra USD200. The Ayurvedic massages are very good and the people doing the massages are very highly trained and professional. Just be prepared that it is woman on woman and men on men and you will be wearing... more

We just had to write a review after spending a wonderful two weeks in Marari, covering Christmas, New Year and both our birthdays. No words can describe the amount of work that was put in by the staff to ensure that we all had the most magical stay. Christmas Eve can only be described as a fairy tale scene. The... more

We stayed two nights at the Marari Beach Resort as part of our Kerala holiday. The positives: the beautiful beach, the grill for delicious lunches under the palm trees, the private pool in our own walled garden, the coconut grove, balmy evening cocktails and the care for the environment. The negatives: it took an hour to for the porter to... more

We arrived here from the sister hotel Coconut Lagoon where we had a wonderful stay so were uncertain as to how this would shape up. We were not disappointed as with the CL the bungalow was very comfortable and well appointed with lovely touches. The food in the very atmospheric restaurant was even better than CL and the beach restaurant... more

Due to a change in plans, started our holiday in Kerala at Marari. We had seven blissful days at what turned out to be the best hotel of our visit. It is better than the previous reviews. The rooms are immaculate, the outside bathrooms wonderful. All the staff friendly and helpful' The food was real authentic Keralan fare, do not... more

From the airport to the hotel everything was well coordinated, the room was simple & nice. Everything was walking distance, loved the hammocks, beach, sunset, food was excellent. Outdoor lighted pool was fun in the night. Watching the chef barbecue the lobsters with live music under the coconut trees was just romantic. Even the yoga class was worth it .... more
