A beautiful property with great and attentive staff. The restaurant is well known and we found the food very good and service warm and friendly. Our room was beautiful with its own courtyard garden and a very nice bathroom. The property itself is architecturally interesting with many nice antique and contemporary artistic features. Look up in the restaurant to see... More

I would have rated the hotel higher were it not for the live music in the restaurant. Beautiful as it was, we turned in early at 9pm and felt the noise in our room made it hard to sleep. They finish playing at 9:30pm and if that does not bother you the hotel has an excellent restaurant, our room was... More

We stayed only 2 nights but were very impressed by this boutique hotel. Service was excellent and the food a nice blend of Keralan and European cuisine. Fish was particularly good. Room was comfortable and airy and the restaurant gave us our first taste of the wines of Kerala which are to be recommended, especially the sauvignon blanc but at... More

We stayed here while on a recent visit to Cochine. The hotel is a small, boutique in what was a colonial home. It is very comfortable and the guest services outstanding. Everyone we came in contact with went above and beyond to make us comfortable and anticipate our every need. We needed some alterations and they got a tailor to come... More

We stayed at Malabar House for 3 nights and really enjoyed the time there in a beautiful rooftop suite. The decor is amazing; full of interesting art and vibrant colours. The menu is terrific as well. It was a totaly pleasure to explore Fort Kochin and nearby Kerela from this property. Najla at the Front Desk went over and above... More

We were first shown to a room on the street that was dark and dank. We were told that it was the only room available, but when we said we would not stay in it and threatened to call our travel agent another room miraculously became available. It was nicer, but not great and certainly not up to Relais &... More

This hotel was a delight and I'm not sure why anyone would say anything else unless they want something it was never meant to be. Its beautifully decorated, the staff are a delight, the food is brilliant and its very clean. I would go there again in a heartbeat and it made our trip very special. Many thanks

We were 2 nights in the Malabar house and we almost felt it was home. Our room was very big, with a semi-outdoor bathroom and a big balcony. The staff was so nice, the chef at the restaurant is a young talented cook that will always have some time to talk with you. We loved our stay at Malabar and... More

Any Relais & Chateaux hotel around the world would have the availability of brewed coffee at 6:00 am. Instead, I am supplied with three packages of instant coffee in my room. The hotel staff is fantastic and very kind. I give the entire staff a perfect score, but the coffee issue a small disappointment for me. The food was really... More

Good looking hotel, with some really great food (specially the vegetarian expensive thali they serve during lunch), quite smaller and uninteresting rooms for the price they charge you. Pluses are the location and the location.
