We (couple) halted at Cochin for a day on our Kerala trip (in February 2013) which covered Munnar-Thekkady-Kumarokam-Alleppy. We opted to stay somewhere in the Fort Kochi area and we were truly impressed with the location. The atmosphere in Fort Kochi is very similar to Goa, laid back, clean, old portuguese type architecture and ending at a nice beach. Prem's... More

Prem's home stay is clean, functional and affordable. It's also well located at the center of everything in fort kochi, The hosts are very helpful and friendly without being intrusive. One feels totally at home, and yet as away as one likes. When we were there, we also had the bonus of home made christmas wine and cake, and the... More

Myself and 3 other girls stayed at Prems for 3 nights late January 2014. This was the first place we visited in India and it served as a great start. Mr Prem and Cynthia greeted us upon arrival (an airport pickup was previously arranged by email, cost 1000 INR). They promptly addressed us of the main attractions in the area... More

Rooms are spacious and clean - not fancy, but functional. Location is very convenient if you want to look around Fort Kochi ... everything is within walking distance. Reasonably priced. The place is run by Uncle Prem and his daughters. Polite, homely people ... but service sucks. A jug of water kept in your room ... thats about it. No... More

We booked before leaving Australia (because of a Tripadvisor review) so we were unsure if we would be getting the best value. Have no hesitation, Prem's Homestay is excellent value. Tidy rooms, off the main street, a short stroll to everything Fort Cochin has to offer. Prem and his daughters gave us great advice and tips for finding great experiences... More

We recently spent 3 nights at Prems whilst backpacking around India. We found the hotel owners friendly and helpful, they even lent us umbrellas during the monsoon rain! We were provided with lots of information about the local area and were able to book tours through them. Breakfast was provided for a small charge. The room was basic but provided... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Prem's Homestay. Mr. Prem & his daughter were so warm and welcoming, and that gave us a feeling of a home away from home.. Mr. Prem is very knowledgeable and guided us on all aspects. Rooms are very comfortable and affordable and on request Mr. Prem & his daughter... More

We stayed here for one night during our honeymoon. It was a very pleasant stay. Prem uncle is very hospitable and resourceful. The beach is walking distance from here. Enjoyed the stay. Travellers must buy drinking water from outside the homestay. They arrange for breakfast at an additional cost. Overall nice.

Spent 10 days here in December and they could not do enough for us. Accomodation was good considering the price and cleaned anytime you asked. Prem even took us shopping and stopped us getting ripped off.
